If Cornes didn't want to take it, he could have stood still and Port would have taken the free kick off the mark. You never HAVE to take the advantage. It's a choice. 100% Cornes' fault.

Calling it now... Hawthorn will pump Geelong next Friday night.

Geelongs last 3 weeks have been shit ... Umpires won them the game against Brisbane at home, Lost to Freo at home and scrapped home against Port with help from the umpires.

The 11 win streak would mean nothing if Hawthorn could beat them in a Prelim.

10 h&a games + 1 qualifying final vs 1 grandfinal + 1 prelim final = I'd take option two any day of the week.

Especially when the Umpire pulled a Geelong free in the last quarter, calls advantage when Selwood took it, he got tackled, and the umpire called the ball back, because "There was no advantage."

If there was no advantage, why call there was in the first place? If Selwood had no advantage, then Edwards and Cornes had no advantage either.

Geelong had an amazingly soft ride from the umpires in the last half, and then Geelong supporters crack it when it gets mentioned.

Just got home from the MCG. I saw a team that had the EXACT finals series that I had hoped the Tigers would have. A great win in the first week followed by another game that they fought to the very end in against a finals hardened team away from home.

Instead we lost against a bunch of cheats who fluked their way into the finals. I hope our players were watching this game. In fact, they should have been told they had to watch this game. They just got overtaken by a team (Port) that they flogged by 40 odd points only 3 months ago. Last week still hurts....
