Rohingya are from Myanmar I thought? I know that they are persecuted by buddhists in Myanmar, who dont see them as being legitimate members of society on account of the fact they are muslims.

As for Bangladesh its the arrival of the Wahabbi money that has kicked off the recent violence. Not saying it used to be a paradise but the rate of attacks against well, anyone who isnt Wahabbi, has increased dramatically.

I agree wahabbism has definitely fueled the recent violence but bangladesh was never a peaceful state. People talk about ethnic cleansing of palestinians, but bangladesh's ethnic cleansing of hindus been going on for several decades and no one is talking about it.

The Hindu population of Bangladesh was 18.5% in the 1961 census which came down to a mare 10% in the 2010 census. The Islamists have been able to reduce the Hindu population by nearly 50% in 50 years. So if it is in their agenda to further reduce the number to nil in next 50 years ask many Hindus.

Its not only Hindu's they kill every minority Islamic sects, there are half a million Rohingya refugees in bangaldesh and they are persecuted too. You can read up on Operation Searchlight etc.

not everywhere but most places in the middle east. The ottomans for examples persecuted the shias wherever they found them. Then hazaras afzals and takfirs are being persecuted for 1000 years now. Same with ahmedis. Even small sunni groups been persceuting other sunni groups for over 500 years now.
