Is Cisse likely to start on the weekend chaps? I'm looking for a Newcastle striker for my fantasy side :p

He probably will (he was subbed off at half time against Liverpool because Pards had a bit of a worry over his knee though reportedly Cisee wanted to keep going and wasn't happy to be subbed).

Perez might be another option to consider. He'd be cheaper and he's got 2 in 2 PL games now, maybe 3 in 3 against WBA this weekend! ;)

Saw this overnight. Really great stuff!

Gutierrez has been given the all clear from cancer :thumbsu:

That's great news for the Spidermag:thumbsu::thumbsu:
I was away and missed the game.Haven't seen it yet;hoping to catch a Fox replay today or tomorrow:cry:
This is as close as I've got:D

Watched the game and was really impressed with Janmaat booting Bagofjelly up in the air and Abeid.
He looks like a clone of Tiote and Anita and better than both.
Also looks as though the fitness guru has them humming(Obertan aside cos that looked like months).
Can't play the way they are without supreme fitness and they are firing.
Placing a serve of humble pie in my hat and eating both I have to give Pardew credit for sticking to his task like a pro despite the fact that Newcastle's footballing public wanted to donate him to ISIS.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
So different from what I anticipated even when the forward line weighed a total of 12 stone we created chances.:D

I reckon the emergence of Abeid could lead to Tiote being sold in January like we thought he may be - a partnership of Abeid/Sissoko/Colback (depending on formation, definitely prefer the first two) could be effective. Hopefully then the money is reinvested & we can get a quality young CB.

Abeid was beastly! He actually won the Man of the match award - not a bad effort on your PL debut!

Did you see the big where he crashed into Lovren (I think?), a DM bowling over a burly CB (legitimately too from memory)! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Look forward to him getting more game time. It's amazing to think a lot of our revival has actually been on the back of fringe and young players - Aarons, Ameobi, Armstrong, Abeid, Obertan, Perez...really pleasing to see. Even Dummett has looked good the last few games and Colo was impressive against Liverpool, maybe he's not done just yet either.

Pardew definitely deserves some kudos, he looked dead in the water and lost but has somehow turned it around (still has a long way to go IMO to win over most of the fans after a utterly terrible 2014 to date). Was nice to even hear King Kev commending him earlier in the week also.

Yeah, saw a few rumours Tiote could be put up for sale in January this week too. Didn't realise he's (28 or 29 already). Love Tiote but if the money is going to be reinvested, we are pretty well stocked for mids at the moment. Even Ryan Taylor can play there (think he played as one of the CMs versus City).

We really need to keep this run of form going in November because our December and early January fixtures are going to be tough!

Lord help us if we get too many injuries/suspensions (another thing from the Liverpool game, didn't we have 3-4 yellows?)

December 2014
  • Away to Burnley (December 2nd).
  • Home to Chelsea.
  • Away to Arsenal
  • Away to Spurs (League Cup)
  • Home to Scumberland (Tyne Wear derby)
  • Away to Man Utd
  • Home to Everton
January 2015:
  • Home to Burnley
  • Away to Chelsea
  • Home to Soton (January 17th).

Nice team tonight lads!

Subs: Elliot, R. Taylor, Williamson, Anita, Cisse, Gouffran, Armstrong.

Here's hoping for another impressive game from Abeid and hopefully Cabella can follow up his decent cameo last week against Liverpool with a goal.

Perez to make it 3 winners in 3 league games

Haidara and Dummett in the same side too is interesting!

Fitness is what seems to combat our unimaginative defensive structure but it is an away game so I'll leave it.
Ameobi for Aarons at half time he's been like a newborn giraffe.
