zaha is a product of the english hype machine. good player and the 8-12 mil will probably be a solid investment overtime. but he's not the world beater he's getting hyped up to be.
Haven't seen much of him, if we do get him hopefully he does well and doesn't crumble under the pressure and hype, looks like he will become Nani's long-term replacement, who will likely leave in the summer.

Personally I reckon Tom Ince is just as good, he just doesn't get the same press.

Zaha has more xfactor, would of been nice to have both.
Interesting SAF was interested in Ince but with Ince choosing LFC obviously didnt want to miss out on Zaha

Ince is less flashy but with a far better end product. As others have said I think Zaha just has a particularly good PR agent and big tickets on himself.

I think the numbers speak for themselves. Both 20 years old, both playing as wingers, Ince has 13 goals and 10 assists in 24 games while Zaha has just 5 goals and 4 assists in 25 games. I think most would prefer Ince's goals over Zaha's stepovers.

Luke Shaw not going anywhere commited to saints long term
Laughing my ass off at the bickering over who is better ver Zaha and Ince. All will be revealed in coming years and not even worth discussing at the moment. Although I would trust Sir Alex and United to develop Zaha to his full potential if the trasfer does eventuate

They're two totally different types of player. Comparisons are a bit pointless as they each offer clubs very different things.

It's worth discussing to a point. But as moomba says they are both different players.
I'm not sold on either.
When Ronaldo arrived at United back in 2003 he was just a skinny showpony, doing step-overs, tricks etc but as he matured and with guidence from SAF, he became one of the worlds best footballers. Not saying Zaha will do the same, but at 20 years old, there is some comparison between the two.

luke shaw will be a top line left back in the future. whether that's with southampton (hopefully) or another club, i'll say he will. same with ward-prowse. hugely impressive talents. i think it says a lot about the type of character shaw is when he has the biggest clubs in england sniffing around him and he commits to a club struggling to play top flight. good luck to the lad.
i guess a good comparison for him would actually be bale. quick, attacking, good dribbling and control. and it's not just because he's from the same youth system. he genuinely plays a lot like bale.
