I think that the reports of Reina's demise have been exaggerated. He has made several well-publicised mistakes in the last couple of seasons, but in general, he is still very solid and nowhere near as bad as some are making him out to be. Put it this way, if we had to play a Champions League final tomorrow then I still would have total faith in Reina as GK.

If he does end up going to Barca then good luck to him, he has been loyal to Liverpool and it would be hard to turn down Barca. But I'm still more than happy with him at Liverpool.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool get Butland in this window. For sale, wouldn't cost more than the £5-6m I think Liverpool would get for Reina.

I don't think he'd be prepared to move to Liverpool as a backup keeper though, he's only just started playing after a few years being a highly rated bench warmer.

Personally I don't think he's ready for premier league week in week out, but he would fit the sort of profile of player Liverpool are interested in.

Reina would be great for Barca, don't have to do much but fantastic on the ball and with his distribution, he's the perfect Barca keeper

He'll be leaving the Victory at the end of the season, isn't he out of contract as well? Another great talent going to leave the A-League, but it was always going to happen, no player will knock back a top European club to stay in the A-League.

I agree he shouldn't, not yet anyway but it would be very hard to turn down Liverpool or Juventus.

On another goalkeeping related question, I wonder what DeHahaha's value would be if he were to move in the summer.

You'd say he hasn't covered himself in glory in England but the experience will have benefited him and I'd think anyone buying him would be getting a better keeper than he was a couple of years ago.

Guess it depends on the purchasing club but he's still got plenty of ability and is a potential 10 year keeper.

I'd say United would make their money back at a minimum, maybe a couple of million more.

Should go to a small club where he will be getting games, thus experience.

It would no doubt stall his progress going to a big club, as he would just be playing in the reserves and sitting on the bench, maybe getting the odd 1st team appearance here and there in a league cup game. The struggling PL teams and even Championship clubs should be looking at him.

Well he is still young and has great potential, can only get better and the experience he is getting in the EPL is only going to help, i'd be asking for £25m.

yep, 10-15 mil from me too. he's worth about that much, and will probably look better in barca's lineup instead of liverpool's. 3 years left on his contract at the end of this season too plays a factor.

hell, there might even be a straight swap at the end of the season with some cash possibly changing hands.

Agreed. He hasnt turned into some woeful keeper. He made a few mistakes last season. Has bounced back pretty well and is in pretty good form this season. I have complete faith in him when he plays. Feel so much more at ease when he plays rather than Jones.

This is what I don't understand. On this board, if an opinion is posted where someone disagrees with it, there is the stigma of trolling attached to it.

It really is pathetic, but getting so predictable nowadays.

He's 30 years old, and hasn't played well for two years. He looks like he wants the move so there won't be competition for his signature, and there's every chance he'll strongly encourage the move. Barca play the game as good as any (look how much they paid for Fabregas) and I doubt they'll be willing to pay the £15m that some think he's worth.

My personal opinion but it wouldn't surprise me if they were looking to get rid over the next year or two regardless. He'll be on a decent salary and I'm sure FSG wouldn't mind getting that off the wage bill, and getting someone younger in.

I might be wrong, he might end up getting sold for more. But getting a bit sick and tired of the "trolling" bullshit whenever someone can't accept an opinion that's different to their own.
