Not sure he's not having second thoughts.
Some suggestion in the German press that he might be interested in the Schalke job next season.

And of course the UK papers will link him with the Chelsea position.

he might, but he's not being ousted from the bayern job. he's going to be 68 for the next season, i reckon he'll end it on a high.

Suarez issues a come and get me plea to Bayern - http://metro.co.uk/2013/02/27/luis-...o-bayern-munich-over-summer-transfer-3518489/

Who knows what will happen. If Bayern win the treble is it really neccessary to spend big?

If the money's there, spending after winning the CL would be clever since practically every team who wins it seems to have some sort of setback the following season. No club has won it consecutively since they started the tournament in the current format.

What? No it's not fine, it's the opposite of fine! I'll understand his decision if he chooses to go to a club like Munich or Barcelona, but I definitely won't be fine with it. Hopefully he feels loved at Anfield and decides to stick around. He seems very happy and we've already gone through the worst patch of our rebuilding phase. I suppose we're fortunate in that unlike Arsenal we're capable and willing to pay big wages to players like Suarez that deserve it, so it won't be the lure of money that sees him move elsewhere.

Agreed...he only re-signed in the summer and knows we are only one year into re-jigging the whole thing. If he is seriously unhappy and wants out, then we need to be over-compensated...45m minimum.

Having said that I'd much rather keep him.

He is under contract which he just signed recently so we have all the power if we do have to sell him. 45 million minimum, but we could ask for more.

Those comments if true, were not good from Suarez. I hope he stays.

I don't reckon Suarez will leave, but if he does, it'll be for around 35-40m. Similar price to Modric I'd imagine.

Speaking of him, I've seen **** all of la liga this year, how is Modric going?
Worst signing of the year, just shading Alex Song, according to Marca readers.

Really? That's a shame, I didn't really begrudge him from moving and we got a tidy sum for him, would like to see him do well. Will Real keep him on?

You guys are overvaluing Suarez a lot. Qulity wise he is probably worth around your estimates but his reputation will have devalued him by a fair bit. Many clubs will be against signing him after the Evra situation and I doubt many of the other EPL supporters could ever take a shine to him.

We sold Torres for 50 million. Suarez is a better player. We won't be selling him for any less than 40

reputation means diddly squat. a player's reputation these days is built by the media, and the media are a bunch of disgusting campaigner****s. a player's quality should always come before their reputation. unless they're a distraction and disrupt the harmony of the squad. never seen anything to suggest liverpool players have the slightest problem with suarez.

Better than Chelsea Torres for sure, Im not sure he's better than the Liverpool Torres?

I actually think 40+ as well but more because of whats left on his contract

After the reception he's been given by supporters of every single club in the Premier League there is no way in a million years he'd consider an offer from another English club anyway, so that's not an option that even needs to be considered. If he moves it'll be to continental Europe.

I spoke to some friends in Spain about him a while ago and they say his reputation over there and in other countries around Europe is still good (he's never once been booed in any European away fixtures since he joined Liverpool) because while it was a stupid thing for him to say and ignorant of English culture, if he'd said to a player in Spain what he said to Evra no-one would have raised an eyebrow. You need only look at the accusations Royston Drenthe made towards Messi last year saying he had repeatedly been called 'negro', and the Spanish Football Federation didn't even consider investigating it.

Regarding Suarez's diving in the past; again, not considered anywhere near as big an issue in the other European leagues as it is in England. Certainly nothing that would affect his transfer value, it definitely didn't affect Cristiano Ronaldo's!

At the end of the day, he's contracted to us until 2018 so given his unquestionable quality if any club wants him they'll have to pay £35-40 million at an absolute bare minimum, probably even more. He's in far better form than Torres (who also handed in a transfer request) was when he left and we got £50 million for him! Suarez isn't just a Champions League quality player, he's the sort of rare player that could be the difference between a side making the quarter finals or the semis and winning the trophy outright. He dragged his country to a Copa America title in 2011 and almost took them to a World Cup final the year before. For that reason as Rodgers has already admitted, I guarantee there will be a lot of clubs coming for him in the next transfer window, hopefully Suarez's head isn't turned by any of the offers and we manage to hold onto him, because he's the player our club should be built around for the next 5 years.

1. 'Adebayor, Adebayoooooooor' etc.

2. More of an indictment on the rest of the world, SFF was stupid not to investigate.

3. Diving doesn't really matter, I think most managers would think they could stamp it out of him.

4. You got 50m from Abramovich. That's right, that manic bloke who pays for over the hill strikers because he really likes the idea of having them, the man has enough money to solve poverty in his country but prefers purchasing shite players for lots of money. The only players in the world to get fees nearing or above Torres' amount are either incredibly special players (Figo, Ronaldo, Zidane) or younger players with huge reputations like Martinez of Bayern. 35-40m isn't really a minimum because of Torres' price, it's a reasonable fee for a very good footballer who is 26 and will hit his prime very soon before going over the hill.

Suarez's form now is a lot better than what Torres' was towards the end of his time with us. Torres was sulking, had bad body language and was still scoring but not at the same clip when he first arrived and was happy and full of confidence.

Abramovich thought he could fix him. Suarez is a great footballer, but the Torres Liverpool had in the late noughties was as good as any player you'll ever see.

Not disputing that, but Suarez's output this year is on track to match or at least get close to some of Torres' best years which is no mean feat

I'd take Suarez right now over Torres at any point in his career.

You must have forgotten the player he was. Completely irresistible at times.

The problem with Torres was that he thought it was everyone or everything besides himself that was contributing to his poor form. He thought Liverpool were letting him down, when it truth it was the exact opposite. He was costing us games, goals, and opportunities. In his last month with LFC he scored 5 goals that were virtually given to him on a platter...tap-ins if you will, including a hat-trick vs Wolves. The question is now, does he still think it's the fault of others having been at Chelsea for over 2 years? Unfortunately, like Owen, Torres will never be what he once was. He had a team built around him to suit his strengths, and it wasn't enough...
