Rumours that we'll offer an extension to Tevez which is much preferable to losing him for what Juventus are rumoured to pay. Not sure he'll accept any extension though, as he is the highest paid at the club and I would have thought we'd want him to at least take a cut on basic.

Same story (Telegraph) says that Real are prepared to sell us Pepe if we pay £20m. We could pay 20p and it would be 20p too much for my liking.

Napoli have so far rejected Chelsea 50m € bid, standing firmly on the 63m € request

I do not understand why we don't just offer the 63 if we're willing to offer 50. Pay it out and get it over with FFS.

It shows that we are willing to pay anything so other clubs will overvalue their player knowing we will fork out. We need to hold out on some offers to to prove our our final price means our final price and they can take it or leave it.

We're up to 55mil and apparently the magic number is 58mil, so not far away from a deal.

Heard you were looking at Gomez as an alternative.

Apparently Cavani's wage demands are making a deal difficult as well.

Liverpool are still suffering the same thing for overpaying for English players. You do have to draw a line in the sand at some time. Not sure Roman will.

If Lukaku wasn't coming home I wouldn't mind him as a plan B back-up striker.

When it comes down to it he can score, so it's hardly the worst option. But just as it is for us, Gomez to Chelsea means that Cavani to Chelsea is less likely. And that suits me just fine.

Perhaps we can settle it. You buy Gomez, we buy Lukaku and Cavani can stay where he is.

Everyones a winner. ;)

You know you're doing well when Gomez is the worst case scenario. I'd almost swap him outright for Suarez. Plus some money.

Read somewhere Liverpool are interested in Hatem Ben Arfa. I am only a relatively new person to soccer but I am addicted lol. I would love Ben Arfa (Always get him in FM2013 ;) ), what are the chances?

Sevilla and Barcelona papers reporting that we've agreed terms with Luis Alberto and he'll be moving to Liverpool pending us settling on a fee with Sevilla. Highly rated 16 year old Valencia and Spain U17 midfielder Pedro Chirivella also reportedly very close to signing. Looks like there's going to be a strong Latin flavour at the club next season.

Marca are apparently reporting that having failed with bids for the likes of Kompany, Barca are going to buy Joleon Lescott.

Unlikely, but that would be awesome.

Former Manchester United defender Denis Irwin has claimed the club ‘are going to move heaven and earth’ in their bid to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer.

He'd know.
