Can't imagine the Grandmas to the left of me and the Grandpa to the right or the oldies in front really appreciating that sort of behavior at the games. If you read my post I was basically saying those people should give up their tickets and not come, I want the place to be as loud and rowdy as possible.

The atmosphere for a lot of the games last year when only 30k could be arsed turning up, was better than a lot of 45k attended games I've been to.

The atmosphere is always better when said grandmas stay home, and the bandwagon contingent jump off, leaving the real diehards there.

Look at that video again. "Mostly men between the ages of 20-40"! BS! Look, I really believe in the Tribe concept. Fantastic idea, but: Oh, you precious studs!

"Mostly" isn't all, You STUDS are not the wonder of the world, sorry. Thing is, EVERYONE IN THE VIDEO WAS IN IT, MALE, FEMALE, OLD, YOUNG. It wasn't a special effect, it was TOTAL PARTICIPATION.

And that's what the tribe has to achieve. Get everyone in, even the one's older than me. You kid's have no idea how fanatical we oldies can be. We want wins, we believe, we yell.

So be one with us or STFU.

Believe it or not MJ... this isn't the first time Bay114 was targeted for this kind of thing.

Lets go back about three years ago when a group of people were approached by the AFC to do this exact same thing. I was among the small group, there's even a video on YouTube of us. Lo and behold, what was behind us... people telling us to pipe down. All of them the knitting needle set I talked about.

"Stop that!" "We're trying to watch the game!" "Soccer hooligans" etc etc

We were quickly moved to the southern goal. Problem was, our antics were not approved of by those people. Many people frowned upon what we were doing and we were hard pressed to find anyone that would get involved because of the mentality we ran into inside AAMI Stadium.

Now this initiative pretty much gives us a license to scream and you are damn right about get with us or STFU.

But this isn't about being STUDS... the fact of the matter is, the AFC is seeing what's been going on at Hindmarsh Stadium with Adelaide United as well as the last decade of SANFL Grand Finals and they want some of that and they weren't going to get it without going out to find it because I seriously doubt that this would have happened any other way. Here we are today and someone has finally gone out to get a mob of people with the guts to be counter-culture. Whether or not I score a gig with The Tribe, I will be there.

Yes I am sure i saw a few "more mature" fans in that video! They just look younger when they are cheering.

I was at the 09 SANFL grand final and it was amazing - crows games are sterile by comparison , being picked up & kissed by a Giant bald man who was painted red white and blue, is a memory that will haunt me forever.

Its not about peoples age, its entirely to do with peoples peoples attitudes. Part of the problem is that ventures like this are about challenging what is the existing culture at Crows games, and you cant do that without meeting some resistance from people who are ingrained in the culture. Still those people are Crows fans the same as we are, and many of them have been paying members for a far longer time than us. We need to pursue our agenda without attacking them or trying to drive them out. The real skill is to bring them into the fold. Imagine 50 000 yelling Crows fans, not just 50.

And this has nothing to do with Centrals or Adelaide United. Can we leave the credit claiming and chest beating out?
