Cannot believe how badly we handle the ball! Absolutely atrocious! It was like we all went out with oil on our hands. Think all of them need to get sent home with a footy that they can't put down for the whole week (bar driving of course). Regardless of what they do they have to hold onto it at all times. Might teach them what its like to actually hang onto a footy under adverse pressure.

I'd normally agree that it is a concern when they say that.....but he has given quite a few reasons why MV is safe and went on from there..

Normally they would just say "He has our full support" then whammo!

I think from that article, things are as they are stated, in our case..

IMO he is saying, the club relies on getting the right players both physically & mentally that are capable to play our brand of football... Out of those chosen by the football department(either past or present) the intellectual horsepower is missing in a select few, they aren't committed to the team... we have dissent among the playing group. The Coaches message isn't sinking in...everyone's is on notice, heads will roll..

It's the timing that is concerning in making such a public comment.. a week before GWS

I read it as some players were not putting enough work in (on or off the field) to be at the level expected of AFL players. I think that's something that most can agree on one player or another unfortunately.

Yep, thought I might have been reading too much into his quotes but it sounded like there may be a few players he is referring to that aren't showing the commitment required off the field.

Was good to see Voss venting a number of times in the coaches box on the weekend. Way too relaxed at the press conferences after 2 weeks of far too many players not putting in the effort.

My main gripe is kickouts. Always to a contested situation down the boundary line. Yeah it's probably playing the percentages, but we need to find space and take risks occasionally. At the moment we kick out to a contest on the flank and the opposition's zone brings it back into their 50 almost immediately. After seeing Angus Johnson's comment's, I'm of the belief that our work rate isn't up to scratch. He is dead set on the money, blokes who don't put in 100% don't deserve to play firsts. Past performances won't win games of footy.

After the day I had, I had a very nasty and expletive-filled rant that I was going to unfurl here.

But then I rode my bike home, watched a bit of BLTV and cheered up a little. Also realised that the rant would have made me look like a twit and would have only made me feel like a horrible person on top of tired and stressed.

So, you're a creative lot, insert a rant here about how horrible people are to poor Joelly Patfull and the defenders, and how it's all the midfield's fault

I was sitting close to that free and it was BS. Shaw was using Rocky to pull himself up and had all his weight back against him, Rocky either had to push him off or fall over on him (which probably also would've been a free kick).

The umpires were atrocious. Inconsistent calls going both ways that left the players looking up when this whistle went not knowing which way the free would go. They really have to stop playing the bottom of the barrel ******s in our games, I don't even know how those twits get to ump in the AFL when they can't bounce the ball!!

Everything else you said was spot on though and I'd like to add one:

Players standing around pointing and giving orders WHILE their man is running free and offering a lead. I spotted Rich and Banfield both doing this crap a couple of times.

Also, insipid 'Brisbane clap clap clap' chants from the crowd. They last like 3 rounds, have no one supporting them and sound weak. Use the LIIIIOOONS chant, it's easier, louder and more people get in on it.
