I liked the episode where the guy had his legless mum in a box and bred with her to create an army of inbreds. The last scene was him running off carrying her after Mulder and Scully had killed all their kids.

I enjoyed most of them.

favourite was a two parter when a former alien abductee was bringing evidence to Mulder but his airliner went down.

Cracking story, made only better with a great scene where Scully shoots someone in a bar.
watched that one the other night actually.

first part is called 'Max' I think.

Definitely one of the better episodes. Fast paced and generally unpredictable.

edit - first part was called 'Tempus Fugit', second part was called 'Max'.

'Home' that one was claled. A bit disturbing it was generally, right from the first introduction scene where they're shown killing a baby (I don't think they killed it, but it died somehow) to actually getting a look at their deformed selves.

Funnily enough I recognized a few of them from the Collingwood cheer squad.

I enjoyed "X-Files" to begin with but became less interested in the show as it became more and more obvious that they didn't actually want to resolve anything (ala "Twin Peaks") and that Carter had fallen in love with his own "genius".

One of the best series' ever, without a doubt.

Duane Barry and the song "Red Right Hand", beautiful combination.

The last episode of Season 1 is a cracker too.

There's alot of obscure episodes but that's what makes some of them great.

Examples,

The Unusual Suspects - maybe not obscure but you wouldn't see that type of episode with most shows

The episode where everything is in black and white and there's that creature thing with two faces

one about some mexican alien monster that causes some skin disease to an unfaithful brother, the episode was done in a Spanish soap opera style format, down to the acting etc.

there's many more, just not coming to me at the minute.

All the great baseball players turning out to be aliens was a good one as well.

Did Ducovny write that one?

A housemate I had six months ago had all of them on video/DVD. I watched a few and really enjoyed them - I never watched it when I was younger.

All I remember watching with my housemate is a few that were genetics related. Oh and I'm pretty sure I saw the movie too.

Entertaining :thumbsu:

It was one of my favourite series - it started off great, the first few seasons, with the big conspiracy. However nothing got resolved - and you had the 'aliens working with the government', but it seemed to introduce another set of unrelated aliens every season as well to confuse matters.

What SHOULD have happened is the movie actually be the finale and wrap up what happened to Mulders sister and a showdown, not it just be a double episode on the big screen.

Don't think so. It's hard to have The X-Files without the Cigarette Smoking Man. It just wouldn't be the same.
the way it went towards the end they could surely come up with some the CSM that died in the explosion was an alien clone or something. surely?

The funniest episode was Bad Blood, the episode about vampires which is told half from Mulder's perspective and half from Scully's perspective.

One of the greatest tv series of the 90s, but to be honest I preferred one off episodes about random monsters rather than the ones which were part of the whole alien conspiracy thing- the best thing about the show was the character quirks rather than the stories, there were so many things about them which were gold.
