Yeah great series. Mulder's pr0n addiction was always good for a laugh.

clyde bruckman's final repose was probably my favourite, but there were a ton of them I enjoyed. Only have the first 3 series on dvd, really ought to get the rest.

haha, his pr0n collection.

:D

I was watching the one about the killer doll the other day and they cut to a shot of him watching TV at his desk. Apparently he was watching some bird show but the sounds emulating from the TV suggested something entirely different.

Yeah, the idea of Mulder the pr0n fiend was an absolute p!sser- there's another episode where they go to see a psychic, and they suggest that Mulder will end up dying in an auto-erotic asphyxia related mishap.

I came onto the x files scene a bit late.

one episode that stuck in my mind involved some sort of inbred man inside a house with tarp all around its perimeter. he played some weird tom jones song (I think) on his record player all the time. not sure it its been mentioned already.

'home' possibly?

4th season, 2nd episode.

except it was a family of three boys if that's what you're thinking of?

I was fanatical about this series when it first started, and even enjoyed the final season, although I did think season 8 was the pretty poor, definately the weakest.

Most of my favourite episodes are from season 7:
The Goldberg Variation - Where a man is thrown off the roof of a 29th story building and survives by falling into a laundry basket. The luckiest man alive.
The Amazing Maleeni - The Amazing Maleeni is found decapitated a few minutes after turning his head a full 360 degrees.
X-Cops - Mulder and Scully find themselves on the TV show 'Cops" chasing some kind of monster.
First Person Shooter - A Character from one game (played by the sexiest woman in history, Krista Allen) infultrates another game and begins killing the players. I think my love for this episode has more to do with Krista, her outfits and her name (Jade Blue Afterglow) which I find rather hilarious, especially the way Mulder says it.
Hollywood A.D. - Skinner's friend from college is writting a film script in which Mulder and Skully become the stars.

The ep where a headless corpse supposedly escapes from a morgue or wherever. The only surveillance camera that spots it has a fuzzy glitch right where the head should be.

It was one of my favourite series - it started off great, the first few seasons, with the big conspiracy. However nothing got resolved - and you had the 'aliens working with the government', but it seemed to introduce another set of unrelated aliens every season as well to confuse matters.

What SHOULD have happened is the movie actually be the finale and wrap up what happened to Mulders sister and a showdown, not it just be a double episode on the big screen.

I agree, loved the quirky 'supernatural' one off episodes but missed most of the last seasons cause I got bored with it.

I think they did wrap up what happened to Mulders sister, one of the later episodes.

My favourites gotta be the fountain of youth one with the lovers who blend in with the woods....those angry red eyes!

Trying to watch all the series in order. just upto the last one of season 5.

Gotta say its one of the more under-rated television shows of our time

I'm doing the same, watched it in it's original run and now going through the DVDs season by season and up to season 3. But have to disagree about it being under rated,it consistently tops those best sci-fi series ever polls or comes second to Star Trek. It's impact on popular culture is immense.

I'm up to season 7 now.

btw, when finished watching I hear apollo_creed who coincidentally is up to about the same point is going to do a top 50 X-Files episodes list.

should be great.

As you can see from my post above - I was doing that ages ago - had quite a large break after season 7 - only recently watched season 8 (which was good) - and only now have season 9 to go.

Same as a few others.
I am half way through Series 8 currently.
Probably watch 2 or 3 eps a week.
Was/is a great show.

i don't think i'm up to running every episode, but on wikipedia there is a list of all the episodes which concern the greater story arc of the show... for those who have been going through the episodes it wouldn't be a problem just to watch these episodes would it?
