This year Keith thomas completed his second or third "review" of the club depending on who you listen to.

Whilst he obviously has come to the conclusion that something is wrong can he actually address and fix the issues that we have.

Is Keith thomas the Ceo to win is a flag or the Ceo that saved us and no more than that.

Watching Johanissen this year from the WB I immediately thought of Impey.

There's a bit to indicate that Impey could progress in a similar trajectory to what Johanissen has just by looking at their first 50 games and respective ages, JI is 2 years younger than JJ and has had pretty similar disposal numbers in that time.

Intersting to note:
Johannisen ranked seventh in the league for running bounces, and when I think of Impey I immediately think of that same style of play.
Impey played close to a full season in his first year as opposed to Johannisen.
Similar physical dimensions, Impey is 178cm and 78kg compared to Johannisen at 180cm and 79kg.

I think with Matt White potentially slowing down a bit in the coming seasons and/or retiring, that we're really going to miss that speed in our side. For that reason I think it's so important to get Impey's development right. I think his ceiling could be very high.

Thoughts?

I most heartily agree, there is a bit to indicate a potential similar trajectory H8.
The only difference in my opinion is that J. Impey's impact will be maximised forward of the half back line.

The trouble with Impey is that he can do some really amazing things like swerve out of trouble bounce and then catch the ball one handed at top pace, but he also does some really dumb basic errors like not bounce the ball properly when running and he loses it, or completely shanks a kick that was rushed when it didnt need to be, or give an unnecessary hospital handball. If he can get cleaner and smarter and eliminate his errors and inconsistency, he will be a weapon - almost Pickett style, not as a battering ramming Pickett type, but as someone who can move the ball quickly and decisively and is rarely rundown whist using that sideways movement he has Pickett type player.

KT does a full review of the club every 12 months. The question that needs to be asked is how deep and detailed and thorough across every department was this one, compared to the fully blown one in mid 2012 he conducted over several months, once he had been in the job for about 6 to 9 months.

Guys, I use the "Pocket Casts" app on Android, and am suscribed to "Bigfooty Power Podcast", which has as its last episode 4.54 on Oct 4th. Why aren't these last two episodes there?

I also subscribe to the PortFanRadio "Podomatic Podcast" but there the last episode was on Feb 26.

Don't know how podcasts are made available to different apps.

I can rarely listen at the actual time, prefer to listen later, and don't want to install Spreaker.

Cheers.

Try unsubscribing/deleting the portfanradio podcast, then resubscribe. There would be about 80 podcasts since then

Have a look now, it should be fixed.

My understanding was that this years review began in April.
I agree with what your saying REH.
My concern is similar to portias comments last night in particular how can our list manager have survived for this long after so much apparent internal scrutiny. When Cripps arrived in that role some five years ago we had serious issues with our ruck depth. Fast forward five years and we have the same problems. That is just one example of how the list has been mismanaged.

I don't believe that our football operations manager and list manager are up to the standard that this footy club deserves. This falls on the CEO.

You should have!
Not enough questions are being asked about KT and those four senior football positions within our club.
The coach
List manager
Football operations manager
Head of recruiting

Perhaps you guys should do a podcast on those crucial off field positions and how those people have performed in those roles.

Why do you reckon I cracked the shits when we didnt draft enough ruckman last year?? I have told KT personally that we should have 6 on the list and to use the Category B rookie list because its there for developing players. Our list management doesnt like recruiting big blokes that take time to develop and spent the time bulking them up. We have done too much patch work rather than a proper reno of our list. We are ok if we have no injuries or suspensions but its a bash and crash game so we will always get them. We dont have the correct depth.

6 ruckmen is overkill. Wouldnt be many that currently have 6 ruckmen on their list.
