There is an asterix on the 2020 premiership team , but it isn’t what you think.

the 2020 flag team is worth 2 flags not 1.

All AFL teams have had to endure unprecedented challenges in their quest for the 2020 flag .

Playing 4 games in 2 weeks , flying in and out of games on the same day.

living away from their families and staying in hubs for more than 100 days

no flag will be harder won ever .

No it's ******* not, because your chances are still effectively 1/18. Your 17 opponents have to face roughly the same s**t you do. Now, if every other team got to live without Coronavirus and you had to suffer with it, THEN the flag would be worth two.

There's no asterisk either way no matter who wins - 18 teams, one premier, same as every year (well, since 2012 at least).

Some clubs may have done it harder than others in 2020, and the Tigers could have a case, but that just highlights the MCG grand final deal every other year.

Clubs didnt face roughly the same s**t.

Half a dozen had an easy run, half a dozen had an average run, half a dozen had a horrible run.

All the Vic clubs had a hard time of it, what are you on about? Interstate sides were at an advantage but that is pretty reasonable compensation for them all having to travel every second week for years and play the GF at the G

What rubbish, shortened games, shortened season, most players had their families in the hubs (or local day spa). As mentioned, it's only tougher if your opponents aren't experiencing the same thing.

2016 Bulldogs had to travel to Perth, return to Melbourne, travel again to Sydney, then back to Melbourne

1998 Crows had all Finals away from Adelaide before going back-to-back thanks to a wayward North Melbourne.

Pre-emptive Richmond are the greatest thread.
Richmond fan going early. What could possibly go wrong?

I initially thought the season was too compromised to count for much but once they got enough games in and crowds on, it felt like enough of a season to count. It’s not worth half, it’s not worth two, it will be a valid premiership for whoever wins.
