Staphy is right in some respect, but how bad must have the qtrs you lost been??

Im 50-50 for tomorrow, really really nervous

Last week v Swans in two qtrs we kicked 2-2 , the week before v Pies in two qtrs 1-5. That means in 4 qtrs over the last 2 week we have scored 3-7 . Not good enough .

Don’t underestimate us even though we have injures and have been inconsistent , we might have won only 2 games but we have won 14 qtrs . You guys have won 3 games but only 9 qtrs, should be a good game ,I don’t think it should be one you should win as some posts suggest . Good luck anyway.

Not an important stat IMO, we have every game this year obliterated the opposition in one of the 4 quarters I'm fairly sure, number of quarters won can be pretty misleading.

But yeah agree we shouldn't underestimate you, form hasn't been as bad as some are making out.

Same here. One of those games where we are somehow expected to win, but even if we do, well in all reality, they are missing quite a few players...

I wouldn't be all that confident if they were at full strength, but would prefer to be playing them that way.

The one thing that does give me some confidence today, is that our modus operandi has been very consistent this year. We really do seem to understand what we are doing, and go out and do it, letting the result take care of itself. Our execution just seems to improve a little each week, hopefully same goes this week.

Stop fearing. Start believing. The Mighty Tiger is coming back to life and we are going to be huge and exciting with a team of superstars.

No fear. Jump aboard the Tiger Train and enjoy the ride to the top.

It's all good, I think I enjoy the wins even more when I'm nervous going in ;)

The general feeling behind the thread implies a cultural habit of losing games when we have winning form.

We did not lose today because of this reason. I would even argue the opposite - we fought back and showed spirit, which is sympomatic of a winning desire.

Come on guys, there's no need to have negative thoughts like that which this thread is on. We've got a new group of players and IMO they have great spirit. Just because we lost to the Bulldogs does not mean our cultural habits are the same as 4-5 years ago :thumbsu:

the frustrating aspect is that hardwick was either out coached by muppet eade or made extremely poor decisions.

the players often get bagged for making bad decisions, what about coaches? deledio rotted in a back pocket for 1.5 quarters, old hack gilbee (who used to be a fine player) kicked 6 goals and had 5 marks inside 50....how? why was houli allowed to stay on him and if he was why was, why did he not tighter up after 5 majors in a quarter??

whay was rance left on a 200cm giant, jones was ripping it up...straight swap maybe?? was was rance allowed to be left close to goal, he is a better player further up the ground...

yes we came back and looked alright for a quarter but that is simply not good enough, put the foot down, be ruthless, we should have got within a kick at 3 quater time and ready to roll over them.

well after being 52 points down normally we would have walked away with an absolute flogging. . . . today we came back.

Re: These are the games we lose....

Any one feel this way about the port game ? I do a bit..

Its a little bit different! we weren't favourites vs the dogs. we are in this game! as confident as i am i feel its a bit of judgement day.

I understand the feeling, but I can't really see us losing, unless we just somehow completely lose focus with the travel and unfamiliar conditions, etc. Hopefully the pre-season game in Alice experience holds us in good stead. Port are really, really struggling at the moment, in all facets.

The two games after the break, in Brissy and Sydney, will be big tests IMO. Could well lose both. I see the Brisbane game in the same light as some people are seeing the Port game. One we should win, but if Brisbane really come to play, we could struggle to get the points.

Yes i totally agree. I am not confident at all that we will beat Port. We are certainly up and about lately and Port are shot to pieces, lets just hope the boys dont think they are just going to turn up and smash them like a lot of people seem to think (not just BF posters but people ive spoken to in general).

Pivotal part of this season for us I reckon.
Surely we should win on Saturday but we need to win well.
The following week whilst we have our feet up, we might be passed on the ladder by one or two others...
Then we play The Swans at the SCG... always a very tough task.

IF we beat Port well & then come away after the Sydney game with a win we should be right in the thick of it to fight it out for the bottome bit of the 8 & our future will be in our hands.

If we drop one or worse still both of the next 2, we will again be looking for other results to go our way.

Lol nice work madtugger, picking up on my spelling mistakes. I suppose you need to do something to get back at me for disagreeing with the majority of your stupid posts/ threads.

Who am I? I randomly start talking about Jayden Post getting games and our crowd figures/ membership figures in threads that have nothing to do with those topics..
