Who do yo think will play as our sub this week? My guess is Osborne... Of the players named on the bench, he seems the most aggressive and the most likely to have an impact late in the game (assuming no injuries). His versatility will also be useful if an injury does occur early on in the game

I think it's one day before the game.

Ever noticed that sixinch subbs are really just 1/3 foot subs? They probably do that so they can make three of them out of one roll instead of just the two. Bastards.

Never have that problem myself.

Footlong Meatball is my favorite finished off when a touch of mayo - Delish!

My vote goes to Ozzie... He is the most versatile if an injury occurs. He is also the most aggressive and would have the biggest impact if he was subbed on late in the game. Besides that, he isn't in the best of form, and after seeing what happened to whitex last week, being sub is only one week away from box hill ;-)

Suckling.

Never had subway.

Any particular reason? It's the only 'takeaway' we ever get regularly.

It's a sad state of affairs when $10 for a salad sandwich is considered "good value".

No particular reason. I have an aversion to franchises, perhaps. Don't know really. Just never been into one.

Good point Simon.

However, least you don't have to hose out ones mouth afterwards after eating some of the other fast food chains.

It was posted on superfooty from whoever was running the commentary that, while it is usually the case, the sub selection does not have to be from one of the 4 interchange players, and can in fact be any player of the 22.

I'm not sure whether that was in fact true, but can't imagine it would make a huge amount of difference anyway as you would usually name your better players in the starting 18 to begin with, and a sub is most likely to be a weaker player (normally)

I'm not sure Ozzy offers enough versatility for a sub role, but with a number of blokes that can play in multiple positions, perhaps a quick reshuffle of a few blokes can fill any void such that Ozzy can play where he usually does.

I'll give my vote to Suckling this week.

And Italian BMT on Italian herb and Cheese bread (not toasted) gets my vote, as does the blonde(female!) that usually makes it :p

Footlong white, ham, lettuce, tomato, pickle, little bit of onion and south west sauce. Its a quality combo.

Lewis

Only got a game last week playing a negating role on Joncock, this week no such match up and lucky to be in the team, so he wears the yellow jacket

He may not be in career best form but I can't see any real justification for that call.

Ozzie, Bateman, Birchall and Laddo at the very least are behind him....Hell, Lewis is in our top 10 or so players. Not to mention vice captain. Not so sure he'll be sub.

I'll say Ozzie. Really needs to pull the finger out.....and for his sake, the sooner the better. Had one fairly decent game in the NAB challenge if I recall correctly (Kangas?) where he kicked 3 goals but hasn't done too much since.

Never been to Subway either. I'm one of those annoying fussy eaters. Used to get sick as a kid whenever I ate meat so grew up a vegetarian (except chicken, love KFC), so you'd think I'd like Subway. Thing is, I'm not really a big fan of veges either.....a sandwich to me is a piece of bread with peanut butter. Yeah I know....I live on the edge. :p

I don't really like any of those players as the sub. But I voted Osbourne for versatility.
I think the sub should to add intensity and line-breaking to the midfield, none of these players can really do that.

As for subway, I'm always amused at the people who genuinely believe it's good for them. I have a mate who think she's doing himself a favour when he smashes a foot-long chicken fillet with a large coke and 2 choc-chip cookies.

Having said that, I'm a fan of subway in general. Like the meatball sub, not often something that tastes the best is the cheapest. During uni I was prob spending $75-80 a week in there.
