While I wouldn’t trade all those 3 in a fit, worrying about injury should hit the radar either. If he gets injured than that just bad luck. Didak has already had a reco and who knows what the future holds for anyone else. N If you thought like that you’d never recruit a quality player. You always have to pay a bit over the odds to get someone. We traded a premiership CHF, a promising youngster and a draft pick which got one of the Scotts to Brisbane for Buckley.Alright judd lovers.Say we traded thomas, pendelbury and didak plus paid judd 1 million dollars per year.Judd joins does an acl or serious knee injury. Can’t follow the logic there. Why would you pass up a proven match winning mid when we need exactly what Judd is in the hope that a potential KPP might be the one squeezed out by cap tightness from a club that needs KPP’s far more than mids? If Judd moves then I hope like hell we can match the offers and get him. Everything depends on price but for Judd (or Buckley) expensive is relative. As much as having Judd at collingwood would be awesome, id prefer he stays at west coast. If he stays, he'll be on big money, which causes salary cap pressure, in turn pushing others out. Who do i want pushed out? Mitch Brown, entice him back over to the east to join his brother as bookends for collingwood, for the next 10 years.

why dont we hope collingwood signs the kids AND get judd
Because it is completely unrealistic to expect to get Judd without giving up some of the kids or experienced players.
