Tiger Sanctuary Buddy Draft : Register Interst Now!

Who would be interested in getting something like this up and going?

TFLUA said it best earlier in the year

I'm of the opinion this board can be a really valuable resource for RFC posters and people who want to know a bit more about our players - I just don't think it's been cultivated in the right way.

Look at the Brisbane version of this for how a good one of these really works.

I'd be looking at a buddy draft (Carlton did this) and getting the buddy to post articles, analysis - and it then being a place for analysis and information, or for getting a few specialised posters in (if they're in the VFL - guys who get to the VFL) and taking a handful each.

I'd be really willing to help getting this going.

So what do you think?

Dude, Tambling is gone... get over the "Buddy draft"!

I think it sounds like a good idea, but I'm not quite getting the drift. Can you explain a little more clearly? Is it like where certain posters are assigned a player or two, whom they stalk 24/7, and then share as much info as they can about them with the rest of the board?

People would express their interest then we would put all the names together and draw a random draft order.

Once the order is settled poster would pick a Richmond player they'd like to follow through out the 2011 season. Post articles, photos, game reports and stats etc relating to that player in their designated thread on the Tiger Sanctuary sub forum.

It's really up to you how much effort you want to put in, Some "buddy sponsors" feel the need to stick up for the player if other posters knock them or put them down!

I think it could be a good way to streamline and increase individual player info on the board and make it a better resource for everyone while having some fun with it at the same time.

Check out the Brisbane Lions board or the Eagles board to get an idea.

So say if i got a guy like Helbig i would just put articles written about him in there and put stats and stuff like that up and then people just talk about him?
