After getting away early, Richmond held on for a comfortable thirty-nine point win over West Coast at Subiaco tonight. Again, innacuracy in front of goal and inconsistency around the ground cost the Eagles.

Didn't the Eagles kick 11.4?? I don't exactly call that inaccuracy.

well, true. but the timing of the misses was the thing. Cummings, Matera and Wilson all missed their first shots for the night, and all three were shots they should have got early in the match. if they'd kicked those they would have been a lot closer at half time and been a realistic chance of taking the match.

As it was it was pretty much all over early on, despite the third quarter comeback.

It's funny, because of those early crucial misses i came away with the impression that they'd been inaccurate all game. I didn't even notice they'd finished with 11.4! (Well obviously I did because I put it ont he scoreboard with the story, but you know what I mean...)

Perhaps it would have been more correct to say "inaccuracy early on and inconsistency in the later stages" or something.
