Does anyone know just why exactly he want to go to West Coast and not Freo?
You'd think he'd get more time in the midfield here than over there, and we could probably pay him more. So why?
Is it the Ross Lyon factor? culture? An idiot agent? What?
Anyone on the inside who knows something rather than just speculation for speculations sake (like we do a lot of on Bigfooty) would be great for the conversation

My guess is his agent was trying to force the issue last year - WCE or nothing. Hoping Geelong would blink first.

Remember Freo were tied up in the Neale/Hogan trade dramas.

If TK is all about getting back to WA he'd agree on a salary and contract length and basically say to Geelong - as long as I get what I want send me to WA.

In reality it won't be like that. TK will play the family card and then follow the $$'s.

This is a perfect scenario to illustrate that trading players against their will should be looked at.

Would it though? The avalanche of "I have a close mate who has ties with X, who is a relative of Y, told me (insert baseless speculation)" in the next coach thread became incredibly annoying.
 
TK gets no benefit from a bidding war, you’d rather strengthen your future teams hand than your past

Wouldn't touch Cerra
Another pre season and more time in Midfield and he will be very very handy
Maybe the pick we get for Langdon would be a better option
 
No chance would I trade Cerra, we need to build.a future around him and Brayshaw. I reckon unless you can get Kelly for 7, why would you sell the farm. Still prefer Angus Brayshaw for Langdon and change.

Meh, he has a free choice where he wants to go. If he doesn't want to play for Freo' why pay overs for him. I don't understand why some take it personally. Seriously, ignore that the media states that we should get him - if we pay overs he may request a trade to west coast next year.

There may be some other players we can trade in this trade period anyway.

I think the club should be focused on what they can get for Hill and Langdon and maximise out picks. Take the picks and go to the draft.

Darth Bell also said he will do what is best for the club. Paying overs and putting all your eggs into one basket doesn't seem like best for club. I saw his statement on AFL.com. He is just playing the game.
