He plays for the Port Adelaide Magpies under 18 side.
I think this kid is potentially the answer to our need for a small forward.
He's a proven goal kicker in the under 18s. Last year he kicked 48 goals from 18 games and this year Tim has got 18 goals from 8 matches.
When he plays he is usually amongst Ports best.
From what I can see his only down side is his height of 170cm.
Below is a link to his profile at the Port Adelaide Magpie's website.

Good on you for putting a young player up there for us to have a look at. However your reputation will now forever hinge on Milera's future performances :p. Small forward is indeed a gaping hole. Will keep an eye out for him.

and he's 170cm...

Admittedly, freakish talent, but is seriously small and I can't imagine him developing the kind of flexibility needed in towards game where even small pockets specialists need to be part of the midfield rotations. Might get a spot on a rookie list.

There isn't much talent in our u18s comp atm
anyone who is decent is in the SA state squad already

On this guy in particular - flashy a few touches. He'd be carved up at SANFL league let alone AFL. Port Magpie fans will be lucky to see him in the near future

keep an eye on a forward out of Norwood and a captain out of Souths in the u16s comp (for this year)

they'd be eligable for the 2012 draft

I'm unsure on the Norwood players name, it's one of Mitch Caon or B.Smart (if he bulks up be could turn into a Nick Riewoldt type player with his strong marking and work rate, if he stays skinny he'll turn into another run of the mill Westhoff) (the other one wont make it past u18s, decent talent, but he'd have to lose weight and get fit)

but the Souths player I'm thinking of is Todd Mckay

this year he's played
u16s - 8 games, 5 times in best
reserves - 3 games, 2 times in best
seniors - 2 games

But he's great, he's an absolute hard nut, 1st in for the ball. Great footy brain, he knows when to be an option for a teammate or when to go in and help knowing he'll **** up. Great disposal as well, (leftie IIRC)

If you want to see him - just look for the redhead

I'd love to see Simon Phillips picked up as a mature ager. If he was on our list right now he would be playing. Steve Summerton is another one. Still young at 22 years old and dominating for the Magpies.

As for the youngsters, I'd love to grab Matty Snook with a 3rd rounder. A lot of teams will overlook him because of his height as well.

Good comments Kung Fu but i tend to disagree with these sort of thought processes....i dont care if he is a 170 cm player. if those type of players have talent and x-factor they usually make it if they have a special skill. Im sick of these tallish utilities which are 'jack of all trades and master of none'. Sure they have flexibility but they dont have an outstanding skill and are just consistent types. If Milera is talented he will make it like small players before him eg. milne, davey, rioli, rodan etc. They are usually very quick skillful and clever. I donty buy into 'but they are too small' i find this nonsense as most of these types of players do find themselves on rookie lists then become very good players eg wonnameri and many others.

I'm not dogmatic about height if a player still has the ability to compete overhead and stick a tackle on the bigger bodies. This doesn't apply to Milera imo. Rookie option maybe. Remember last year's Morrish Medal winner Anton Woods? This argument was put up a hundred times and many were still convinced he'd dominate VFL this year and be first picked in 2010. Simply hasn't been the case. And Woods is a genuine goal kicking midfielder, whereas Milera is largely a HFF/FP specialist.

Head case. Was hugely rated at the Swans but was cut for his off-field stuff. Recruited by Norwood then injured his hand (iirc) in a stupid (allegedly drunken) off-field incident. His attitude shows itself on the field as well. In and out of the game. Has the tools, but I'm sceptical as to whether he will ever get close to applying it.

Yep very true Kung Fu. I agree with what you said there. It would be nice for a small crumber or two. Many sides manged to have at least one except us now.

For those worried about his height Collingwood's latest debutant is only 172cm and from what I heard he handled himself quite well. So there is some hope for Tim getting drafted.
