I know when it is really close I always wish I knew how much time is left (e. Melb v Carl final 2000) but when you think about it it is all just part of the excitement.

No! Definitely not agreed! Timekeepers ONLY should be aware of the remaining time IMHO.

I'm for the SHOT CLOCK on shots for goal !! Stop ALL that fiddling around with bits of grass and socks .

Also, a player can be fouled out after x number of frees against - e.g. M Martyn.
