May change a bit but this will probably be what happens

6pm October 22 - The number of the player above where it says Veterans List in the official lists thread must be between 35 and 38, and the TPP must be below $6,300,000.

Midday November 12 to Midday November 19 - Equal (i.e. 1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc) trade week, must stay within salary cap and list size restrictions at all times (i.e. if you're not using pick 38 and you have a full list, you can't trade for pick 39 because you'd have 1 too many)

6pm November 23 - Final pre-draft delistings

1pm December 13 - National draft begins. 24 hour time limits, leave lists if you're away

Whenever that finishes - Pre season draft begins

February - Will run a completely unfair preseason comp using the NAB Cup results

2 strikes for any list deadline you miss, 1 for any missed draft pick, be good 6 times in a row and you get a strike taken off, lists count double

what happens if you trade for a few guys and then decide before the pre- national draft delistings deadline that you want to delist a guy you traded for. can that happen?

sorry again Russian this must be getting mightily annoying, but in terms of the draft, if a guy doesnt get picked up in the National by a team but is elegible can we pick him up? He may get picked up as a rookie in real life, but he may also not get picked up at all this year. Would we still be able to take this guy provided he was elegible?

In terms of examples i guess, Andrew Swallow was elegible for last years National Draft i believe. And obviusly he didnt get picked up. Could one of us in AFLTM had chosen him if we wanted at the time?

While everyone's bugging you Russian I might as well get an official answer to this question:

If I retain a promoted rookie can I then trade that player in the next trade period?

No. Apart from that, the draft starts after the PSD/rookie draft so any rookies picked up in there will go in the main draft

sorry to open this up again Russian, but if i may ask, is there any reason behind this? Like if we can forsee a good future player who may not go this draft (but is elegilbe) and goes next draft in real life, cant we take a gamble and pick a guy like that in this game in this draft?

i.e again with Swallow, i may have taken him late last draft say, as opposed to waiting for this draft when his price has inflated to around a 1st rounder ( as seems to be the case).

Not everyones a draft expert dude, it's not really fair to expect people to know that sort of stuff, and it gives an advantage to the ones who do. It's challenging enough to pick from the draft list of players we've never seen.

I understand, but i mean it becomes very subjective i would assume as to the degree of knowledge each person has. Like, i am no draft expert, but i just thought that it would be kool to be able to forsee guys and take a gamble. If it pays off, then thats kool, if not then you are stuck with a guy who doesnt play AFL and you can delist him in due course, and there wont be too many dramas there i would assume. I doubt anyone would be picking up a #1 pick a year earlier. This rarely happens.
I just think its potentially an idea to incorperate and something which wouldn't be too much of a hassell if you picked a guy who didnt end up playing AFL. Hopefully :)
