There's a Greek restaurant near me that does the plate smashing. They bring them out in boxes and do a dance and smash some plates. You can even go up and smash some plates yourself.

I've been to Greek restaurants like that. Everyone got in a circle and started smashing plates down. Seemed a waste but was kinda fun.

I think they're 'special' plates at Eat Greek. Don't think they're glazed or anything. Just cheapo white clay plates.
