Tinder is now the married at first site of the dating world. Just attracts a certain type of personality (nothing wrong with that btw) but too mainstream
Best bet is 2 profiles.
Profile 1 Hard core hook up sites
Profile 2 E harmony or sign up to a match maker.

Tinder is the biggest load of crap.

Female CEO want's to create a clean respectful platform, but literally, and I mean literally every guy I know that uses Tinder uses it to hook up.

At least with Bumble you can see how they are trying to by only allowing women to message men

The design of Tinder literally promotes people engaging in short-lived, instantaneous connections

Bumble solves a problem which doesn't really exist. Show me a girl on Tinder which doesn't have dozens of conversations left on read and I'll show you a liar. The only difference is that matches disappear after 24 hours instead of just sitting there and if girls want guys to initiate conversation they say 'hey'. I met a girl once and she

What should be created is an app with no time constraints but your number of matches is limited. You want the shiny new thing you have to give something up. Even better if they made it so you got a notification of who you were subbed out for.

Wut?

Thats literally what it was for. And for people who are not at all interested but love the attention
I've got this guy at work that comes in every monday and tells everyone about the ladies he's talking to as if he's hooked up with them. I've already caught him out lying.

But I really don't know how Tinder can be taken seriously.

Yeah I know a few couples who met on tinder/bumble. Two are engaged, others are heading that way. The whole 'it's only for easy hook ups' thing is getting close to OK boomer territory at this point.

every guy I've talked to about tinder at my work and in my circles is using it for hook ups. Every single one.

you've already caught one of them out lying though.

how can you trust any of them?
Yeah that guy is a strange fellow. He'll take photos of women he meets at clubs and tells everyone he got with them, and how they own a BMW and million dollar house.

They're your words not mine.
I just think we're at a point where Tinder isn't that much different to heading out on the weekend. You're chasing after (or being chased by) someone you think is attractive, and that may lead somewhere or it may not. It won't ever be as good as meeting someone in person, but saying it can't be taken seriously is a bit out of touch. I mean, how many dancefloor pashes/one nighters/swapped numbers actually lead to marriage anyway?
