he always went missing in big games for us...the prelim final was the only game i can recall where he actually stood up to be counted....he's worked on his goal kicking, if you watch him now he's clearly more fluid and comfortable

Nope, he hasn't win a premiership because his previous club had even bigger spuds running around in September.

Beating up on Schoenmakers in a prelim doesn't make him any more of a big game player than Robran dominating against Rohan Smith in a prelim does

Who knows but in recent years, we don't have the greatest record in preliminary finals.

So it's hard to suggest we would have won that home preliminary final either - with or without him performing up to that lofty expectations some hold him to.

Running into an open goal with no immediate pressure and he misses from 10-15m almost directly in front

The biggest game he's ever played in was last years prelim and he was pretty impressive then as well. I don't think he has any trouble with the big games.

You mean the final against collingwood where he had only 4 kicks, 3 from frees?

Presti owned him and fletcher didn't play in him

Fletch hasn't had a direct opponent since 2003
