My question would be, does roughed take jerkas spot, or do we fit them both in somehow?! :D

He just slots into tippetts old role ...normal transmission resumed.

Far better player than tippett though, would be too good to br true.

I'm led to believe they are an incredibly tight knit group and are concerned about the trade having a destabilising effect on the younger members of the team and the possible loss of a team mate. I think you'll find Jude Bolton has the option of continuing on for one more season.

Dont buy into that tripe man the leadership group would be the first to know everything trade related they would of had to give the tick to even consider Tippett.

Possible loss? There will have to be at least one player leave to get Tip$ over there. I for one would love to see him at GWS so I hope a trade can't be made and we let him fall to them. Send the campaigner a message that nobody messes with the AFC.

Rohan and Parker sound plausible, but Reid how will that work considering he signed a 5yr deal earlier this year?
There's no law stating that contracted players can't be traded. Fairly sure Johnston signed a contract with you guys last year - didn't stop you from trading him to us during the 2011 trade period.

Fox Sportsline showed the headline for the Herald Sun and we are reportedly playing hard ball. Will be interesting to see the story once it goes online.

This is a pretty good trade IMO. Perhaps a few other things thrown in.

Collingwood lose Dawes, Wellingham, 39. Gain Reid, 45, 26
Melbourne lose 4, 45, 26. Gain Dawes, Wellingham, 39, 61
Adelaide lose Yippett, 59. Gain 4, 42
Sydney lose Reid, 42, 61. Gain Yippett, 59

I would be happy with
Collingwood lose Dawes, Wellingham and pick 19
Collingwood gains: Reid and pick 45 (39 or 26 at best)

Melbourne lose 4 and 45 (26 at worst)
Melbourne get Dawes, Wellingham and pick 19

Adelaide loose: Tips and 39
Adelaide gain 4 and 61

Sydney loose Reid and 61
Sydney gain Tips and 39 (26 at best)

Would they!

Bradshaw didn't know he was being offered up. Are you suggesting the Sydney players would have known before he did?

Interest in reid from collingwood, rohan and parker victoria.
Too early though to know if it will happen give me some time
If Rohan is prepare to move to Vic .....what;s the reluctance to come to Adelaide
He's a Geelong boy after all

Why our they be trying hard for Pears, I don't get it
I agree ....191cm undersized player with both Otten & Shaw taller .....Pears plays similar role too, not a true KPP

Don't get it

I dont know enough bout pears cept we are working on him.
Collingwood will try get reid gonna be tough.
I dont think we will get any sydney players is what i was told so not sure if it means we dont want any

My personal assumption of this situation is that the trade will occur and the meeting was just the players gaining some reassurance on the situation. Premierships change clubs and increase bonds between players. The Swans are reportadly very high on their father son recruit Mitchell from last season and expect big things next season. He could cover the loss of a Luke Parker type.

This thread is going to kill my last few weeks of Uni :D. I was hopeless this time last year! I barely did any school work.

Self discipline is not my strongpoint.

Amen brother. I'm supposed to be writing an essay due tomorrow morning as we speak, and well... here we are.

I not sure that Otto is in Sando's best 22
I'd take Otten over Pears .....just listen to Essendon supporters this year *as i have) and they'll gladly trade hime

That's never a good sign

are we into any Collingwood players ? who ? Wellingham would be handy but he's unders and wants WA

Our problem is GWS have said thanks but no thanks. So he would go to GCS.

Something tells me he wouldn't care. Take his money and go surfing and we get zip.

So if we are relying on deals like Reid to Collingwood we are getting screwed already. That's going to be near impossible. If Sydney can't give us players, try for a couple of days and then let it be known we can't strike a deal. Other clubs will start sniffing and who knows what we can shake loose.
