If Coll get Pick 20 for Dawes, which is on the table from Melbourne, they will have Pick 18, 19 and Pick 20 in the 1st Rd. I could see 2 of these picks being on traded to ADL in a 3 way trade involving Sam Reid ending up at Coll, Tippett to Syd and the 2 draft picks to ADL. A lot of scuttlebutt in Melbourne that Reid has asked to come back to Vic.

Giles is also a big chance to lob up in ADL.
I know you want this to happen, but remember Reid signed a 5 year contract this year, and has just played in a flag. The likliehood of this happening would be remote IMO, to say the least.

Hate to tell you this, but he's not faster than Jetta anymore. There's no such thing as coming back 100% from a broken leg, especially when we're talking about the bleeding edge of professional athletes. Players don't necessarily lose agility and other aspects of mobility, though I've seen it happen, but they always lose some top pace, it's a fact of life. I've seen it happen to Eduardo and Ramsey, and we've all seen it happen to Nathan Brown.
I know, but we'll just have to wait and see. Even if he comes back as fast as Jetta, that's not too bad. Fingers are well and truly crossed for the kid.

Dangerfield is in Sydney. Not sure either has any relevance

incorrect. dangerfield is in space, teaching that austrian bloke that jumping from that height and stuff 'ain't really that hard.'

I heard some muppet on the main forum say Pick 22 + Grundy for Tippett and Brad Crouch. Probably a load of rubbish as per usual, Crouch is going to be an absolute jet and I doubt he will be leaving.

yeah i have pretty big doubts as to us throwing any extra enticers to get pick 22 and grundy. especially crouch, who imo will be as good as, if not better than dangerfield

Agreed. Not sure if he'll be as powerful as Dangerfield, but I think he'll have better disposal.

I wouldn't trade Crouch on his own for pick 22 + Grundy, and whilst I have nothing to do with the inner sanctum of the club, I'm quite confident when I say that neither would the Crows.

dude , they are just taking the piss.

the tippet/ sydney trade is a long way off, id expect this trade to be done on the last or 2nd to last day of trading.

posters are getting bored and just writing any old crap now.

Yes, It's utter rubbish. I'm just so over this trade already, I wish it never even begun. So many innuendos and non-truths. Absolutely hate these trading wars. If we can win a flag without Tippett, were certainly not in a bad position. Not happy with sydney on this one.

He won't be as quick as Dangerfield, but there's every chance he'll end up as powerful.

Here he is at 18...

Geez, he's gonna be a jet. I had a quick squizz at his highlight package he has some serious speed this bloke. And only 18.

If hodra is right about the deal, then the first piece of the puzzle has fallen (Wellingham for pick 17). I am not sure why Melbourne would do it unless Neeld is madly in love with Dawes.

But let's assume we end up with pick 4. What are the chances that Jimmy Toumpas is there at pick 4?
I can't recall the trade hodra suggested but I really struggle to believe Melbourne would give up pick 4 personally. They just gave up pick 3 and 13 (or 12? I forget) for a 2nd pick in the mini draft and another bloke. In such a strong draft, they'd just be insane to give away their 2nd pick inside the top 5 when they're trying to rebuild imo.

Considering our Davis compensation pick we traded as part of the deal ended up being pick 20 with the season we've had, I think we did quite well for ourselves. :D

i hate the fact that he's younger than me yet can grow a beard :(

This!

This!

Its about time you blokes got some good deal. Bock, Davis, Tippett, Gunston all leaving you deserve something good. Had a good chat to tex at the granny and he said he's gonna be at adelaide for life. I said to him ever wanna come back to NSW? He goes ya kidding me mate.

I can't see it either. They did get pick 20 back in that Mini-Draft deal, and will be getting a top 10 pick at 26 in Viney, but I still just can't see them doing it. They were apparently willing to give up their first rounder for Dawes last year (but that was pick 12), so they obviously somewhat rate Dawes. But yeah, nup.

That said, I've heard it mentioned several times that this draft class did not come on as many were expecting it too, and that the superdraft calls were a tad premature.

Tex loves the Crows. Grew up supporting them, and whilst technically Broken Hill is in NSW, it may as well be an SA country town (I think they actually run on SA time haha). I think he basically recruited himself to the Crows, after sending a highlights package of himself to the club. :D

Not only that, the Crows didn't show that much interest to start with and a couple of other clubs came knocking (Collingwood and someone?) and he rung the Crows back up and said you guys better sign me now or else I'm going to take one of these other offers, haha.

I believe so. He was eligible for the NSW Scholarship program, and apparently approached the club with his video and said if you guys don't sign me, Collingwood are going to, and I want to play for Adelaide. Don't quote me on that though, just something I read on this board. Pretty happy to get him at pick 75 just quietly. :D
