If all you look at is pick #6 and say - gee, we paid too much, then that's just poor thinking. You need to look at what we got out of it - and 118 games is more than enough to justify using that pick.

No way on earth he belongs on that list of shameful trades and overpayments.

118 games for a pick 6 and you reckon thats a win? What other ruckman has been traded for pick 6? Back then our second pick would have been pick 22, that has been the currency for nearly every ruckman bar Jolly and Wood.

Trading needs to be pragmatic and unemotional. We're over a barrel and rationality has to prevail. It sticks in the craw, but sometimes you just have to bend over and take it. We have to take White and pick 22, and make the best of it. Who knows what might come of this? We could possibly develop White into a serviceable defender/spare ruck (before he wants to go home to Southport) and #22 could be anything. We won't lose respect if we do this.

Can you give us any indication where this info comes from? Would certainly make sense as to why we're suddenly interested in White, when previously his suggestion was laughed at by the club.

Steven Rowe is quite adamant that a huge story will break and could rock the club to the core as soon as the Tippett deal is done.

Maybe he is just big noting himself but he says he is sitting on a story that will break regarding the agreement.
