P.S. Wayno, continually pedalling the same false statement does not make it true. I have previously explained in great detail why the Gold Coast's view of fair compensation in the "gentleman's agreement" (end of first round draft pick) does not match the AFC view (equivalent to the Ablett compensation). I am not Carolyn Wilson, I did not say a second round draft pick.

You said draft picks had already been arranged as part of this "contract" (we can argue on which pick you stated ) ......that is clearly wrong ....all that anyone has said from either end is favorably considered trade

I agree, Tippett's true value is between pick 2 and 5 in this year's draft.

There is so much hype around the number 1 pick that no clubs would take the chance of losing the AFL's next superstar. After Whitfield there is no standout for number 2, would you take Grundy, Wines, Mayes, O'Rourke or Toumpas over Kurt? Only if you think you will not be contending for the finals for another 5 years.

Inother "news", Dumb has said again tonight that GWS would not pick Tippett over Whitfield if Tippett goes into the draft (there are two drafts you muppet) and Dumber floats the idea that Brisbane will offer Jack Redden and Pick 8 for Tippett.

Agree re your valuation of Tippett, AFGM. If we reverse the situation and we could get a player of Tippett's size and ability for Pick 2 to 5, I would do it.

As for that stupid comment by Cornes re Tippett v Whitfield in the draft, I can't think of any alleged football expert who knows so little about the non-match-day aspects of the game.

As for Rowey floating the rumour (is it his own) that Brisbane will offer Jack Redden and Pick 8 for Tippett, just make it happen Rowey!! Just make it happen. If it does, his title will change from Dumber to Sir Stephen, AFGM.

However, deep down I know that dumber it is and dumber it will stay.

I find the above interesting from a couple of points, the Caddy pick is obviously part of the Tippett trade (in directly), We want to keep Hickey, why when we have so many Ruckmen (Smith, Dixon, Nicholls, Gorringe, Thompson) unless one of these was likely to be part of the trade.

Caddy pick and Gorringe looks like our play to me.

It's not that we want to steal a good tall from you (well we do) ........it's just a fact that with Tippett coming in it will deprive one or 2 talls who were competing for the role Tippett will take up

This will mean they will leave anyway at contract end ....so why not use one now as part of Tippett Deal

You really have a wealth of talls ......it would be nice to keep all BUT as we're seeing now clubs are battling to keep those good reserve talls as they are promised improved roles with other clubs and better contracts

You said contract in drawer ......that's very different to a verbal agreement ....BUT even if that agreement had the details your source has conveyed to you it could still constitute a contract and enforceable

Macca Tippett is definately worth pick 2-5 .......good bigmen are still the most sort after commodity in the AFL, trouble is we all know they are hit & miss at 18 YO

The fact that the second best contested mark is available at only 25 years of age .........i cannot think of a club that would not grab him as early as possible

The AFC isn't a private boys school, its an elite sporting club.

We invested 6 years, probably millions of dollars and development into a key position player. You know, ones you build teams around etc.

The way i see it it its no biggie on tippett leaving, as proven by Sydney last season, big forward lines dont win premierships & tippett leaving is a oppurtunity in disguise. If i was mr noble i would look to get a bank flanker like ryan okeefe for some solid experience in the backline to be with young guns talia & shaw. Crows still have one of the best lists in the AFL. huge cap space free now so why not use it?? Crows window is open for a flag with or with out tippett. I am more than confident in Noble & Sando. As Rendell said a few weeks ago, they recruited Jenkins for a back up for tippett if he left & its payed off. GO YOU CROWS!!
