Can't be arsed sorting out the who goes where when bit but something along the lines:

Swans out: Parker + first + sweetener ( lamb, second or third pick, something)
Cats out: ghs + first+ something
Crows out: tippett+ 3rd or 4th

Cats get swans first Parker + something, crows get first from feeling plus probs a second, we get tippett.

Something kinda like that. I see us raising our first through this mean and making a play. as I said can't be arsed to do it properly but you get the gist.

So the Crows receive George Horlin Smith and a low first round pick for Kurt Tippett. With all due respect, that doesn't warm the cockles of my heart. GHS was pick 37 and has only played 3 AFL games. That doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence this player is worth that trade. Especially when he's coming of an injury interpreted season. At 186 cm - he doesn't fill one of our needs and won't be a walk up start in our midfield.

This deal won't happen. GHS may end up at the Crows but it won't have anything to do with Kurt Tippett and his movement towards the Sydney Swans.

If Gumbleton can get his body right, he is a huge talent and will complement Tex very nicely. However, getting his body right is the issue.

Lewis Johnston, SMcK, and Lynch would be entitled to be pissed off if we chased him.

Upgrade for your first are you serious? ,. It would need to be the L Parker pick if it's a top 10'ner plus pick 22 or Rohan for Tippett or the deal is off. Port Adelaide Power could really do with a Luke Parker type and maybe they can help us out here. With Monfries and Parker they would get some heart back into their midfield to complement Boak ,Hartlett, R. Gray & Ebert . Luke Parker's best game was against the Power this year so they know his worth . Port I believe has pick 8 . Port could entice him with some of the money they just saved on Chappy & Pearce.

I think he's suggesting trading Parker and their first elsewhere to get a better pick back to send to us.

There is some talk Reid to Collingwood but who knows.......

Turn it up - Reid to Collingwood! LMAO - Why would Swans give Sammy a five yr contract to 2017 and then let him go for KT. Swans are building their future forward structure around this kid who'll be around long after KT has done his four years and a premiership in the harbour city.

Why would the swannies opt to take Tippett for $1 million? None of it makes any bloody sense! And contracted players can just as easily be traded as uncontracted ones.

I just posted this above but I will say it again, could Vardy be an option if we were looking to trade with Geelong? If the Swans could somehow help us get both of them then I think we would be happy. Vardy can fill the ruck/forward hole that losing Tippett would leave us with and GHS boosts our midfield depth. Additionally, if there is any substance behind the Douglas rumours then there is a real possibility that deal could be struck. Time to think outside the box because I can't see a straight 2 way deal working.

BTW I would be stoked with us getting Gumby. If he stays healthy he can produce straight away. Nothing to base it on but I have a feeling that he is going to turn his career around (similar to Shaw).

Oh great, the Richard Douglas of Sydney.

Thought of as a decent player by most AFL fans, but his brain dead errors make Swans supporters tear their hair out.

The only guys I really want are Hannebery and Rohan. But Hanners is probably off limits and Rohan would be a big risk given his injury history.

Reason is that they know Lewis Roberts Thompson will go back and play Centre half Back with the tippo up forward now where LRT played alot this year , thus why they want to give us Grundy. Stupid Harper & trigg will fall for it tho, without realising we dont need another stopping defender but a running CHB.

Getting Vardy would certainly be a risk but I think he is worth it. Moves around the ground very well for someone of his size and is a powerful mark. Reminds me of younger (pre-douche) Tippett. If he can stay healthy I think he could be a "gun" (and I don't throw that word around lightly like some other people).

I definitely agree with you (about not wanting to split up a winning combination), but the coaches obviously believed they had a need for Tippett. Therefore, none of them are untouchable, and I'm sure they are quite aware of who the sacrificial lamb (s) will have to be to get the deal done. At the end of the day if the coaches believe Tippett makes them stronger, the players will have to buy in.

Hmn... interesting isn't. I reckon they are in for a shock when the players only passively buy-in (I'd be mighty pissed if I was them and human nature being what it is) and when they discover what weakens Tippett is the fact he is a one man band... time will tell...

So far haven't heard any good suggestions for kpd who is both genuinely tall and decent.

Gumbleton would risk for low price but wouldn't show much faith in the current guys next in line.

We need to critically look at our side and say who are the b graders we can upgrade on. Maybe there is truth in the Douglas rumours? I just don't wanna trade in more b graders.
