I thought gumby started to look a lot better this year whereas with rohan you have no idea how he's going to pan out, well we dont, if you were privy to a medical report you could make a better decision...
Thats what makes this place interesting because I wouldn't take Gumbleton, just not that good IMO. I know he was an early pick but he just hasn't performed, of course the poor bloke had injuries but it could quickly turn into another Tambling deal in my eyes. Seen more than enough of him to not like it.
Rohan has a broken leg, hell nearly every man and his dogs had one of those, most get over them without complications.
I would risk this because he is a talent, a real talent who has size and speed. IMO these are the trades you takeif offered, the upside is enormous,he really fills a need of the AFC.... Gumbleton the opposite.

Then again if Adelaide does take Gumby I'll have to stand back and clap "Nice get" because they make the trades not me.

For what it's worth mate, FAITH doesn't deal in rumours, and certainly doesn't have a history of going around and making them up. Obviously it's unlikely to happen, but he get's very good info.

hahaha, how do i "like" FAITH "liking" this post?

Big difference I'm afraid is all the aforementioned players were regularly getting on the field, Gumbleton drafted in the 2006 draft has played what 28 games in 5 years????
There is good reson why the Dons have only offered up a 12 month contract!!

Out of the 6 mentioned, four have found their ceiling, only Morton and Gumby is still unknown. Gumby could (I'd go as far as saying should / would) have a really high ceiling if he gets his body right and gets some continuity, worth asking the question anyway. I dont know shizzle about pears, never paid attention to him.

I haven't followed Membling's actions on this board closely TBH but from what I have seen he has made a good account of himself (unlike some of his other Swans brethren). As I said before anyone who is willing to listen to our ideas and post constructively should be welcomed with open arms.

Go back 3 or 4 days, read some of this thoughts and say that again.

His ideal trade a few days ago was pick 22 for Tippett. Yep, he's awesome poster but only in compassion to the rest of his mates and their feeble efforts.

Because his mum wants him at Collingwood with his brother, even though she wouldnt say it publicly
Well then throw $600,000 at him and see if mummy likes that. Still cheaper than what Tippett would have been on and Reid is good. I can't actually see Sydney parting with him myself.

Maybe but we wouldn't give up anything like our compo pick to get him. Probably something like a 3rd rounder.

Not all men and their dogs are paid to be elite athletes.

May be subject to change.

I'll have to take your word for it. I will say one thing though, I have never liked the Swans or their supporters and I have a feeling that this coming trade period will do little to change my opinion.

Unlikely, but this could be a good outcome
Sydney
In:Tippett Out: Parker, Rohan
Melbourne
In: Parker Out: pick 13
Geelong
In:Rohan, 2nd round pick(crows) Out: pick 15 GHS
Crows
In: 13 (Kennedy), 15(Menzel), GHS Out:Tippett, 2nd round pick
Would be awesome if we could get both of those for those picks. Unlikely, but awesome.

Maybe but its a risk I would take to get a young player with an enormous upside.

Jesse White = homeless dude's Tippett. Ironically both played their best footy three years ago...

Pyro, I've been dealing with this guy for 3 days now. He is a troll or a clueless muppett.
Nah, you're just being overly sensitive, looking for trolls & muppets in every post. Nothing Membling has written has been the least bit offensive.

Perhaps, whatever... But what's the first bit about?
Sorry, too subtle for you :p. In a Tippett thread with over 2,000 posts, you're saying he's the one who's overstating his importance/interest value.
That just shows how little you've been paying attention.
I have no idea what that means or whether I'm supposed to be offended by it :)
Nice overreaction to a polite post

Gumbleton's issue is not a lack of talent. His problem is a body which is ridiculously fragile and seems to break down every time he looks at a football ground.

Any of our other players, managed by Blucher? Could be a problem with future negotiations of new or existing players.

Fair bit of water to go under the bridge yet with this trade. As mentioned by others, Sydney have been good to deal with in the past. I'm sure by the end of next week, the trade will look nothing like the pick 22 + Grundy speculation. I'm positive a third or fourth party will play a part in this deal. Noble is a smart guy, and I'm sure he'll get the best deal he can for us. His trades last year netted us some quality, when everyone thought we would get pumped again. Rendell may well have been good at identifying and drafting young talent, but Noble seems to be one of the more erudite negotiators and list managers going around.

I honestly could not care less that Kurt is gone. For the last 4 years I've had to hear listen about Kurt and his effing contract status. He is a good player and I'm sure he is a top bloke, but it was time to cut ties. We have more than adequate replacements that actually want to play for us. It will all work out for the better.

To be fair many of us would have said the same thing about Shaw last year...if we even knew who he was.

I'm not convinced he's a top bloke and neither would our players be!

I agree though...I'm sick of hearing his name! He needs to go away!

If he is in the psd, for a club to pick him, they would have to have $800k to $1m . He fills out a form which nominates what is to be paid. How many clubs have a mil up the sleeve come psd? GWS can't even fit Giles in their cap.
Exactly. We should not be too scared of Kurt threatning to go into the PSD to GCS without any compensation as its a load of shit. Kurt has been offered around 1 million a year by Sydney. GCS have refused to match this offer and have offered around 600-700 per season. If Kurt goes into the PSD he would have to nominate his salary which would be the Sydney offer of around 1 million and GCS, as they did in there final offer to Kurt, cannot and will not be willing to pay that wage and so they will not pick him up. And after his snub of them for Sydney I am not too sure they would do it on principle. So the odds are Kurt would end up at Melbourne or Western Bulldogs which is his worst case senario.
The Crows need to play hard ball on this, and if Kurt is traded to Sydney with a less than desirable trade (like Grundy and pick 22) then they deserve to have the weight of the supporters fall on their heads.
And I would hope that in the future the Crows request all their players and potential players not to be managed by Blutcher. He is a smart arse who should be shunned by the club.

From Sydney only having to give up a late first round draft pick to them not having any extra players of surplus to make the deal happen to Karma coming back and biting us to us receiving a extra player from Geelong and a low first round draft pick to make this happen.

Yep, no troll there.

Would be awesome if we could get both of those for those picks. Unlikely, but awesome.
Agree but Knightmare and Chris25 both have Kennedy at 14 and Menzel at 19 and 15(cats) respectively. Doubt Menzel would slip past Collingwood and Rendell though. We could also pick up someone like Tanner smith at 19 as well.
