Fast, outside midfielders. We have quite a few great extractors on the books, but not a lot of linebreaking, precise kicking players for them to give the ball to. That above all else is our primary need.

We also may have a shortage in the KPD area once again, even more so if Luke Thompson (who still hasn't signed) leaves for more opportunities in Melbourne.

Slight weakness in the ruck, but fully expect us to draft a new ruckman rather than recycle, and no established ruckman with half a brain cell is going to come here to rot in the SANFL behind Jacobs.

To be fair many of us would have said the same thing about Shaw last year...if we even knew who he was.

Shaw had spent 2 years on the injury list (2010-11) and was given a 12-month contract (2012) as a last chance to prove himself. The jury is still out on Shaw's longevity. Gumblton has been in the system for 5 years now.

i dont think theres a deal that will make both supporter groups happy, but the actual clubs may take a different view.

an example being your supporters seem to want Grundy dropped/no big loss being suspended etc etc, but then he finished top 10 in your B&F.

Wallace has it right at 2 first round picks, and I don't mean 21 and 22. They are first round picks in name only and effectively only second round picks.

The combinations could vary, but I'm happy to use your example of pick 10 and a pick in the teens as reasonable and fair recompense.

Pick 10 and a first 22 player that suits our needs would do it too.

No way should we settle for anything less.
