Yeh he went to Pembroke and I know from experience that Pembroke prefers its student to play school sport over other club commitments. He played a couple of u-18 games for Sturt but that would be about it. If he had played more u-18 and championship footy, which he was certainly capable of doing if not for cricket and school limitations, he would have gone much higher in the draft.

West Coast lose Mitch Brown
Carlton lose pick 11

Adelaide gain - pick 11 & 22 and 42

West Coast gain Tom Mitchell
Carlton gain Mitch Brown

Adelaide will upgrade 3rd round pick 59 to Sydney 2nd round pick 42

I feel at the end of the day, that maybe the best we can get.

I would also inquire with the Western Bulldogs for pick 5 or 6 or Richmond for pick 9 and take the best deal as I feel (hope) Mitch brown just wants to return to a Victorian club.

this is simply untrue, at the end of last year i had a long chat to James Fantasia. At that stage each club was allowed one 17 year old, so 15 other clubs also over looked Pav. What JF said was that even if we couldve picked another 17 year old or another 2 17 year olds that Pav wouldnt have been one of them, one wouldve been Chris Chubb from west adelaide and cant remember the other one. People forget that as 17 year old Pav only stood at 188cm, where Kenny was a lot taller. Also Kenny played about 155 more games than any other 17 year old taken in that draft.

I know, the most refreshing thing for me was Fantasia honesty and admitted his mistakes. He said hindsight is always 2020, funny thing was he was still fuming about Ayres over ruling him on Angwin, said the club knew about his off field problems, we wouldve taken Kane Cornes if he had his way. Gets a lot of unfair flack really.

I'm going to guess it will happen mid next week. Adelaide won't want to limit their ability to get onto other deals with whatever we end up getting for Muppett. I think I will boycott this thread except searching for Faith's news until the deal is finished.
