Does is annoy the crap out of everyone else, or is it just me, when I read these threads there is a picture behind the thread and the little dipstick himself is in the bottom right hand corner!!!
With Harry O'Brien letting Porps I think it is, know what Tippett is about to do to the club..

IF it becomes a realistic option, 22 and Mitchell i'd be more than happy with. Always considered him off limits.
Be happy with this also. Mitchell was considered last year's Jay Viney. Picked by Swans at 21 as father/son, but was rated inside top 10.

Yeah I remember the talk on him and liked him last year. Am surprised the Swans would consider it.

I know, the most refreshing thing for me was Fantasia honesty and admitted his mistakes. He said hindsight is always 2020, funny thing was he was still fuming about Ayres over ruling him on Angwin, said the club knew about his off field problems, we wouldve taken Kane Cornes if he had his way. Gets a lot of unfair flack really.

He was also wanting to pick up Brent Harvey but was overruled on that one aswell. Another battler story.
Lets be honest, Fantasia could not of possibly done a more pathetic job if he actually tried. Although he has done wonders at Western Bulldogs, dragging them back to where they belong.

Never would have thought he would come into it.. Father/Son and they were very excited about him coming to their club.. For whatever it's worth, Barrett said some Swans officials are not too keen to offload him but others are, to get Tippett.. Thinks it will happen if they can't work out something else, and that the Crows will take it..

I've already got Doughty's old #11 guernsey picked out for Mitch. Come on down.

Mitchell is quality. But do we need yet another inside mid? trade currency?
Who cares whether he's inside or outside, he's a good footballer, why does it matter? Just because a player is good a getting the hard ball, doesn't mean he's is banned from linking up and finding space to run into.

I think Grundy and Giles for Tippett is way overs for us... We would need to sweeten the deal... If we got close to that I would be jumping for joy

You would have traded Gunston for Gilham.

Grundy is worth a pick in the early 20's and Giles a pick in the early 30's. If we got those two picks for Tippett it would be MILES unders.

Hypothetical, if the rumours are true re: Mitchell...

Would we consider re-directing Tom Mitchell to a Melbourne club (his family is based there) for a high draft pick. I'm thinking Bulldog's pick 6, Melbourne's pick 4?, Richmond's pick 9? Or, do we keep Tom for ourselves?

Will need to replenish the hole Thompson will leave in a few years. Vince isn't young either and I doubt Douglas will be in our starting 22 by the end of next year.

We need to stagger the ages of all positions on the ground within the squad. Keeps waves of good players coming through. Very difficult to do but the best strategy IMO

Might as well keep him as he is rated a top 10 pick regardless

Thats what I mean. Or have a real crack at someone like Griffen. Over him big money and a premiership crack and offer the bulldogs mitchell and 19?

If he's as good as everyone is saying he is, why not keep him. Draft picks are such a gamble and this kid sounds like a sure bet.

Ha I like your thinking but it's a hypothetical based on a hypothetical! Let's let it play out first!

This would be a good outcome, while Mitchell is unproven at AFL level all indicators are he is going to be very good.

Can I suggest with pick 22 you get a gorilla and play him only when the Crows meet the Swans and have him smash Tippett on the noggin from first siren to last. Just a constant, biff......................................................biff................................................biff............................................biff..............................biff............................biff...........................................biff, I would predict tears

Will not believe anything regarding Mitchell being offered until it happens. I just can't see the Swans offering up there F/S pick from last year, who from all reports, will be a gun.

No need to waste pick 22. Just rookie list one of Adelaide's many gorilla sized bikies to do the job. I'm sure some of them would be Crows supporters.

I didn't think you could on trade a player, only picks
No you can't. I probably didn't make myself clear enough. I meant that we would involve a Melbourne club in the Tippett trade which would see them take Mitchell and us take their pick.

He was recruited from Claremont WA.

Exactly what I was thinking. Depends whether we are actually keen to take him, or would rather try to get say pick 4 and work something out with GWS to get Toumpas?

Tend to agree.
