And rightly so.. Sydney make out like bandits. Adelaide slight losers (but you expect to receive unders for a player who is out of contract). Brisbane come out of it the biggest losers of all though.

Polec doesn't have the same value as Tippett, but it's close enough that a straight trade wouldn't be insulting. The problem is that Sydney have nothing to offer which is in the same ballpark as these two players.

I agree. Was basically just throwing a random idea out there with the news that Brisbane may be interested in White.
We would be in a position to offer Polec a lot more $$ the hes getting at Brisbane tho combine that with homesickness and we could get him for unders next year when he's out of contract.

Yeah I thought that as well. I reckon they can't afford him in the PSD. I reckon Blucher sold Tippett to Sydney on the "2nd round pick" gentlemens agreement.

Then Sydney tried to make us think we were getting an amazing deal because we got a first round pick and White. I think they were disguising writing off Whites salary to be able to afford Tippett.

I reckon you might be on to something, we criticise Triggy for a lot of things, but I reckon he is pretty smart on the financial side.

So Polec is worth 6-12 but Brissy get 23,45,White? They would have to be on drugs to take that deal.

Surely people here are over rating Polec. He was a high draft pick but has hardly fired a bolt and has been injured a lot since. I know if we had pick 6 this year and we offered it to Brisbane for him I would be spewing. I would have him with a similar value to us at the moment as Luke Brown, a young outside mid with potential that is still unfulfilled at this time, probably about pick 15. The other thing to consider is that if the rumours are true (and that I admit is highly unlikely) then Brisbane are the ones who want White and so thay have to make a deal that would be better than the one we would get from Sydney. Given we are being offered 23 and White then I think Polec or pick 11 is pretty reasonable. Slightly better for us, Sydney are happy and Brisbane get the forward/ruck that they need.

It's under, but it's the reality of the situation. As some of your own posters have admitted, had the roles been reversed Adelaide fans would expect your club to do the same to us. It's important to keep that in mind.

you cant get him in the PSD, and you arent willing to trade anything of value. essentially all your club has done is **** up trade weeks for everyone else.

you have offerred a player a contract, before establishing if terms could be reached to get him there, that is either hubris or douchebaggery of the highest order.

I'd love to see Triggy telling the Swans that with Jesse White still on their books for 2013, Kurt will have to nominate a smaller salary heading into the PSD, opening the door for Freo, Brisbane, GWS, GC, to pick up him up.

What I am amazed about is that most on here would gladly see him go to Carlton so that Sydney who are a premiership threat don't get him. Yet if he goes to Carlton and they get a decent run with injuries they may very well go past the both of us. Are people forgetting that they were premiership favorites early in the year.

That could be a positive where on trade for GHS which should get it done or a defender like Pears but not sure worth 23.
Unless we get Rohan or through another club top draft pick or top player with Swans then we should not deal with Swans as been total P---s offering us rubbish for someone they offered close to $1mill for .
Hope Crows are talking to say a Brisbane to get decent offer then letting Kurt know Brisbane or GWS , port ,Melbourne etc will have you . That would shake the ego man into forcing Swans to trade properly

This thread keeps giving me false hope... Polec, pick 8, Carltons pick 11, GWS pick 2 or 3..... Collingwoods 17 and 18.... Giles, Grundy....

Lets be honest... It is going to be pick 23.. We will blink first. We do not have the guts to send Tippett to PSD...
At best it will be 23 and whatever Brisbane are willing to give up for White if that happens.

On a positive note... Our squad is good enough to move on from this. We are better off with no Tippett and no compensation that Tippett on 800k a year stinking it up

If he goes to Carlton and wins a premiership there, so be it. At least Carlton dont have the nerve to be trying to screw us over at the trade table for him.

The big sticking point with everyone is not the premiership threat, but rather the pathetic offer that Sydney have put to us for Tippett. Even if Sydney get him in the draft at least it will make them think twice before expecting our club to accept pittance at the trade table in the future.

Absolutely no need for us to get Polec involved in that deal. If Polec is homesick, I'd hold onto him, let him show his value in 2013 after his first full pre-season and then let you and Port fight for him next year if he still wanted out.
