Thats why you're the judge and I'm the..uh..law talkin' guy.
Sounds like Trigg would beg for a genuine Tippett signed #4 Brisbane guernseyIf the guernsey's were signed by Brown I'd take them!

How things can change so quickly!!
Rumours are starting to run rife in the press boxes, and we all say surely not to them, but with an ever sickening feeling in our guts.
These rumours don't go away. In fact they become more detailed. Adelaide did indeed have a gentlemen's agreement to trade Tippett for a 2nd round draft pick. WTF? Surely not.Nobody is that stupid ....... are they?? Still it's only verbal and nobody can ever prove that. Looks like we'd better grab the offer of pick 23 plus Jesse White and run.
Wait, it's not a verbal agreement. It's in print. What bloody idiot makes such an agreement and puts it in print? Ermmmm, Trigg and Reid apparently. Oh well, we'll get a rap over the knuckles and a small fine for a bit of draft tampering, but still let's concentrate on getting SOMETHING for Tippett.
What!! You're saying there's even more!! There's bloody emails outside the AFL's agreement detailing it all PLUS we have agreed to pay money outside the cap!! I must be going nuts - surely this can't be true. Not even an idiot would do this, would they?? Oh yeah, I forgot - it's Triggy and Reidy!! We are completely screwed and the AFL are going to investigate it
Yes, it's all confirmed. We have done all these things and we're facing sanctions.
There's talk of huge fines and a loss of draft picks once the AFL have finished their investigation andd Tippett has gone into the draft for nothing.
So now, it's no longer a question of how many top draft picks and players we will get this trading period - it's now a question of what will we lose!! Thanks a fkg million Trigg and Reid!!
650 plus pages, 16,000 plus posts and now thousands of shattered perceptions and dreams.
All in 23 days.
where has it been confirmed?

I would suggest he was lied to by Trigg about the agreement as in that it was a verbal agreement with a handshake and nothing more. I can understand your position on this and the Lionel Hutz reference is pretty funny but the guy is black and white when it comes to this stuff. I mean his reputation he has built up over 20 years is on the line here, he wouldn't be making that comment lightly
Keep up with it.
We've given copies of the emails to the AFL, as have the Tippett mob.
Agree
The Adelaide Board has some pretty high ranking business people on it
Peter Hurley (Hurley Group of Hotels),
Bob Foord (Chairman SA Tourism and many other board directorships),
Greg Moulton (MD Brock Harcourts Real Estate),
Deb Miller (Founder & CEO Marketing Consulting Company),
Jim Hazel (former CEO Adelaide Bank, now board director of Bendigo Bank),
Andrew Payze (Manager HSBC Bank),
John Sutton (senior partner PKF)
Rob Chapman (Chairman) ex CEO Bank SA,
Nigel Smart (Deputy Chairman) CEO Variety SA
Not to mention numerous other board directorships.
I'm sure most of these guys wouldn't ruin their business credentials on some dodgey deal - sure they would have indemnity insurance or the like but the association with it all would just be far too risky to all of them
Documented intention=screwed.. To put it simply..but aren't the media just speculating about it is in the emails? and even if a money sum is mentioned in the email it does not mean we actually gave money to Tippett .... just that we intended to do it.
I thought the post was alluding to confirmation of what exactly we have done.
Maybe that was part of the secret contract! If Craigy played Kurt in the 2's like he did with a certain other foward, Kurt would have left at the end of that 2010 contract. Its too easy
So maybe Malem spoke a little truth......this was from last Monday...how his words take on a different meaning in a few days...Reid will be an absolute monster soon enough.
caro article, we under wrote some third party deals.
Chapman has invited an audit of the entire club by the AFL to prove we have nothing else to hide

As soon as Chapman learnt that the Crows had offered Tippett third-party inducements - inducements it has now been revealed the club reportedly promised to underwrite - not to mention trade Tippett to the club of his choice at the end of three years, the senior Westpac adviser insisted they contact AFL chief Andrew Demetriou.
''What are they doing,'' Demetriou is said to have demanded of the Crows in recent days. ''How can they have been so stupid?''
It has not been lost on anyone at either head office or AAMI Stadium that the Crows could simply have paid Tippett the extra $200,000 reportedly mentioned upfront. Staggeringly, they had the room in their salary cap.
It seems clear now the club will plead stupidity and ignorance. Trigg has not offered to resign, nor has his resignation been sought - yet.
Different versions of what took place have also emerged, with Tippett's management telling third parties that Trigg and his former football lieutenant John Reid flew to the Gold Coast at the end of 2009 to make the extra offer as a last-ditch attempt to prevent the forward joining the Suns. Reid, however, has long claimed that the letter had been instigated by manager Peter Blucher and Tippett's father, Tony.
Tony Tippett launched legal proceedings against Adelaide early this week in a bid to move his son to Sydney, while Blucher has received legal advice not to make any comment on the affair.
