Weirdest thing you've ever put sauce on?

Hmm...at uni sauce was a staple that stretched the cents further. Lunch was a sauce sandwich. Dinner was cooked pasta with microwaved hot sauce on top.

Then there was the old sauce shake. Milk, ice cream and sauce.

It's just so versatile.

i don't believe that one. sauce soup maybe but sauce shake?

Love sauce but don't like to eat raw tomatoes.o_O
If the sauce is in the fridge do you wait until room temperature or the colder the better?
What is the weirdest thing to put sauce on? Cheese dipped in sauce is a personal fave.

My 11 year old does that too!

I'm the opposite. Not a big fan of tomatoes but turn it into a sauce and it's A-OK :thumbsu:

Even better if you add some herbs and the like to it :thumbsu:

This. Quite like the flesh of tomatoes but hate the sloppy seed part in the middle. Cooked tomatoes great. Raw tomatoes bleh.

Sauce is king. We had a blind tasting of all the sauce on the market for a mates buck show as a bit of a joke as all that know him knows his love of sauce. he gets one wrong, take a shot. The thought was a quick way to get him drunk and start the festivities. He ended up getting all except one right. Kinda backfired a bit. He truly is the king of tomato sauce.

I thought I was the only one who didn't like tomatoes but loved tomato sauce, this thread has just made me feel so much better about myself :D :thumbsu:

Got to love this thread. With all the problems at and potentially at the Crows, this thread has a life of its own. I must admit I do check in from time to time to see where you are up too.

Very pleased to see that you are now up to tomato sauce. I assume if you are heading alphabetically that you will go to tea, best brands, uses of and most unusual times you have had it.

Keep up the great off season thread.

You lot are all weird. I love tomatoes, especially nice and cold just out of the fridge. Dislike them cooked though.

Tomatoes are king - sauce, puréed, canned, raw (ripe Romas), cooked - but sauce with a BBQ sausage (go for your lives) with a scrape of butter, onion and white bread - best lunch at the footy... :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Hmm... Tea... Lapsang souchong tastes like camel dung. A good Assam for me. But must be leaves not bags... the bags make the tea taste funny... stainless steel coffee plungers double as a good tea pot at work and don't look too pretentious.

I prefer bags to leaves. Leaves leave remnants. Not a fan of remnants.

Speaking of bags, I wonder if Tippett still has his packed?

To vaguely get this back on track ...

Here's my hope, for both Adelaide and Melbourne - AFL discourages this by punishing those who did it, not the club (and by extension the supporters).

Three year bans for Trigg, Reid and Blucher and eight weeks for Tippett.

Maybe loss of premiership points and certainly fines. But no loss of draft picks.

Being dragged to Unley oval as a kid most Saturdays the highlight would be getting the money to buy a pie - if it was the right temperature and didn't take off the roof of your mouth it was pure kid bliss {as opposed to adult bliss}. I still have nightmares of being in pie heaven and then getting first just a hint of sauce, then hitting the motherload that some ninja sauce canteen lady had snuck it through incredibly discreet holes. Undetectable to the untrained eye these holes seemed to be able to fill pies with litres of the evil condiment!

Even today on the kids lunch orders I feel compelled to write in large, clear block letters "NO SAUCE!!!"

The application of sauce knows no bounds. As a child my parents became so concerned at my sauce consumption they banned it. But I saved my pocket money and got my own bottle which i hid in my bedroom.

Sauce.....is life
Did you have a fridge in your bedroom?
