I believe they said that they had head Tips deal was mentioned in the board meeting minutes.

Caro and Emma Quayle have said a mixture of things - some correct and some wildly incorrect.

They did say that they believed the deal was mentioned in the Board minutes. Correct or incorrect? None of us know at this stage.

I'd be waiting until after the inquisition on Friday before I started calling for the heads of Chapman and Board members on the basis of this story.

Chapman's 0/2 on the truth stakes so far.

Also said we would mount a vigorous defence just before foregoing our first two 2012 picks and admitting we did it.

Hopefully he's lying about Trigg too.

Not sure how this is lying Carl. Vigorous defence doen not necessarily equal walking away scott free.

It's naive to think we'd walk out of this without some form of penalty. If his defensive efforts have restricted the penalty to these 2 picks, plus a fine, I think most would consider that a win, given the circumstances.

True - there may be more penalties to come (which would not be a win), but none of us know this yet, which is exactly why it's premature to call it a lie.

I've actually been really pleased with how Chapman has conducted himself and represented the club while this has been going down.

I wish I had a Mr. Sauce to listen to me talk BigFooty. :p
My 'Mrs. Style' is completely fed up that all is consuming my life at present is the Crows. She used to like the offseason as she got some respite - but not this year! haha. She mentioned something about paying attention to her and my 2 daughters....

People better start spelling it Kool Aid or I will lose my sh!t.

Lol, didn't see the typo until just then

What two daughters, I hear D Style say. :)

Cant seem to manage to paste this but it is the Quayle article in the Age of 17th Nov re one aspect of whether the board 'knew'. Also unsure if this is the actual issue being questioned????............

'Fairfax media understands the AFL has also obtained evidence that the Crow's agreement to trade Tippett to the club of his choice for a minimum second-round draft pick was recorded in the minutes of a board meeting held in August 2011.
The league is also aware of alleged discussions between, Trigg, Harper and Adelaide finance manager Grant Rutherford about whether the club had room in its salary cap to cover a small shortfall in the third-party payments for Tippett that it had agreed to underwrite'.

If the AFL announces the punishment on Friday then it is a show trial. If it comes out on Monday then may'be some considerations have taken place and they have listened to some arguments.

Personally, I think the press release has already been sent to the printers and the pineapples ordered. Hopefully the largest one has Kurt's name on it.

I laughed when I read Sydney are looking at Joel.

And so it begins for them. One thing we should never forget is the relief at having this poisonous family out of our club.
Ha ha ha that is brilliant! I wonder if Kurt is feeling a little homesick in Sydney and wants his bro to be there with him?
Or has Daddy demanded it now that the promised trade didn't eventuate?

Good riddance you d!ckhe@ds....

Anyone notice how quiet The Age have been on the saga recently? Have the AFL finally stopped drip feeding them so they can 'test the waters' on what the public reaction will be?
Or are they waiting to drop another bollocks claim on Thursday just to wind everyone up again before Fridays hearing?

You're right DJ.

After dominating the media with some at times outrageous but always sensational claims of the myriad of offences that The crows had allegedly committed, generally stated as if fact, the Age has gone significantly quiet on any detailed allegations.

I'm thinking that the posse of legal eagles we have working for us may have spoken to both the AFL and the Age about our concerns whether the AFL was prejudicing the enquiry by the release of what should be confidential details to the Age, or alternatively threatened the Age with legal action if mistruths continued to be published as fact.

Certainly there is a major contrast in behaviour by the Age in recent times compared to a couple of weeks back.

I'm not expecting any more startling revelations before Friday, as I think that everything must be on the table by now and in our daily chats with the AFL we are thrashing out what we will admit to, what we regard as a grey area and what we will refute, so that the Commission will be having to make decisions on guilt or otherwise on a limited number of charges rather than the whole lot.

My money's on the latter.

We took the wind out of their sails.

By admitting guilt, the tension of guilty vs innocent disappeared. The need to round up more evidence to prove the case went away. If that was our plan... genius.

Anyone else laugh their arse off this afternoon when it's been reveled that the Port Adelaide football (magpies) - one club remember have cheated the 2012 SANFL salary cap?

Oh the irony.
