is that a charge & penalty against individuals rather than club?

If the board were presented with information from Trigg that gave the board comfort that we were AFL rules compliant .......then how is club penalized under this new regime of personal responsibility ??
I would think it to be both, the article was written like a novel rather than an essay or summary doc. It looks like individuals are being charged along with the club. So even though the board thought we were compliant, we weren't and would still suffer a penalty as we still received benefit.

BTW .......how is it possible for Chapman to work on this 12 hours a day, 7 days a week ........there's no possibility there was enough evidence/preparation warranting that time input ......unless it was additional hours to his normal work load outside the club

But gee good copy and spin doctoring to the supporters who envisage lamps on in Crows offices up to midnight

Well, we spend over 12 hours a day on this matter, and stay up beyond midnight :)

:( Well yes .....what an emotional rollercoaster

Had my hopes dashed too many times in this saga ....

Not true. The club has urged supporters to be patient so that when the club puts its side of the story we can then learn the truth, not based on media

Surely we wouldn't roll over and rubber stamp it without getting a fair public hearing?

They promised
Who, what ???

If Fitzpatrick is going to announce the penalties shortly after the hearing .....I'm afraid deal/penalties locked away

We're simply summonsed to face our accuser and get our penalties face to face

No lawyers going tomorrow?

I think we all have WW.

Look on the bright side. 24 hour and we'll know, then we can bitch and moan for a few days before we put this awesome thread to rest.

If people are still discussing Craig 12 months on, and Carey recruitment .......then this will be discussed ongoing for at least the years we're excluded from any draft

Who knows what the thread count will be by then ;):p

Yes, it'll be brought up in conversation for years to come, and so it should as it will have massive consequences. But the entire board won't be devoting their lives to this thread as we have the past few months.

Or so I hope. :p

I just trust that no Crows supporters will ever have to be put through the disaster this was and shame placed on club with with real respected and which was established from day 1 as one of most professional clubs in AFL, along with the on field respect Sando and team recovered last season.
I have faith that Chapman will make hard decision against mates for long term benefit and reputation of club.
I dont have same faith in Vlad ruling correctly and have nightmares of punishment we will receive and how Tippett will get rap on knuckles and end up free to Swans .

Is there anyone else hoping we iggy be using dean bailey as a bargaining chip.

The AFL want tanking to go away and might be looking at finding melb innocent.

We just remind them that if they slam us bailey might remember more about certain meetings.

I can dream can't I?
Man that's gold!

Give us time already served and the Melbourne stuff will stay quiet, just like Andy D liked it.

Exactly my point. There will be no full disclosure, just penalties and crooked claims of victory in spite of odds

******* hell mate, at least wait until tomorrow. They may be pleading guilty, but none of us know how much we are willing to accept (i.e. how severe we believe the punishments should be), and may be pleading guilty to lessen the charges. The club has never maintained they were innocent, just that there was stuff getting reported which simply isn't true.

So seriously, at least give them a chance to speak first for christ sakes before acting like a total loon.

They have been as truthful to the public as they could have been, given the circumstances. But hey, if you're pissed off, that's your prerogative.
We have already lost Tippett for nothing (when we could have traded him), our 1st 2 picks & Joyce as a bare minimum.

The club has been untruthful throughout this Tippett saga - which is breach of trust.

There must be accountability (not sure why this makes me a loon, rather I expect quality busienss management).

I have no issue waiting til tomorrow - but then action must be swift for the benefit of AFC. If any of our management are given any significant suspensions for their involvement, they should be told to pack their bags, rather than someone just keeping their seat warm.

Also, those wanting Trigg gone, it might have already happened, but they would be waiting for the right opportunity, if you feed the mob to early they stay hungry for longer, wait till its nearly done, feed them and have a clean break, it's not rocket science.

And just because it's a closed hearing doesn't mean that we won't get to hear our side of the story, it just means that we won't hear it till tomorrow. FFS, people need to have a bex and lie down, in 24 hours we will know. So unless you are Jack Bauer, stop jumping at shaddows.

What time does the hearing start? Would be awesome if they had a live blog like the tribunal.
I thought I read somewhere it starts at 7:30am, so quite early. And no media are allowed, so doubt there would be a live blog.

Look, I have no problem is Trigg and whoever going, given what we know. The only thing I took exception to was the presumption that Chapman wouldn't have the guts to sack Trigg and co., after hearing that he can be ruthless when he needs to be.

One thing that I've learnt from this saga is that he is extremely passionate about the club; combining with the fact that he's a very smart man and has many years experience (which have received high praise) running a large bank, he won't keep people there if it tarnishes the club's brand any further.

That's the point I'm trying to get across.

If we don't hear the full story from the club it will be a ******* disgrace. So at this point.. I fully expect we won't.
Again, Chapman has been very adamant that we will, so why are you criticising the club on something you are making a bold assumption on? You are basically assuming that Chapman is not a man of his word, when I know full well he is.

So Carlton for systematic rorting of the salary cap and deliberately exceeding .......gets less penalty than us who never exceeded salary cap, fessed up and negotiated a plea bargain

Surely that cannot be the outcome .......but then again we're talking about the AFC management

They will cop more than Carlton .....and then thank the AFL for their support and considerations  ........never been so angry at this club ....NEVER !!!!!

BTW fancy the club putting on the website membership drive the day before the judgement from AFL .......how F...g deluded is this club !!!
WTF is wrong with that? Believe me, the majority of people living in SA are over this whole saga, and I doubt tomorrows hearing result will change their membership status.

Seriously, what a ****ing stupid thing to say.

And again, making assumptions about the penalties from media articles, before they are known, and then criticising the club (without even knowing if they intend to fight the charges in court).

I liked it when you dissipated into the BF wilderness for a while, go back there please.

I don't know Allefgib...as someone in the anti-Craig camp, I've really enjoyed AFGM's scrutiny of what he sees as the double standards applied to the post-Craig era. He made some very good points that brought a sense of perspective to Sando's first year in the job. And his balls-on-the line Tippett predictions in this thread last month were compelling. Unfortunately, he left his balls on the line there and now he's back with a couple of mandarines shoved down his undies acting like he got it all right. He didn't and he has a habit of rewriting his predictions to fit events as they unfold. Currently, he's applauding himself for a handful of banal observations where he thinks he has scored a hit. Your faith in him has persuaded me to keep an open mind about him recently but I'm off the bus now.

All good mate. I don't take things too literally when people are expressing their frustrations. I back myself in to read between the lines a little - but always happy to be proven wrong. For what its worth I was calling 'significant issues' at the club back in early 2010. Now look where we are...

AFGM argued semantics with people fed up with Craigy - the details were neither here nor there to me in some regards. Craigy was done and had to go - no one doubts that anymore. So what was left to really get caught up on? That's how I viewed in anyway. Sure scrutinse all you want - but as I said at the time - what was he hoping to achieve? My vague recollection was that he wanted people to 'take back' their nastiness and admit they were wrong. Or again - that was the general sense, I don't care about the semantics. If my view was correct on that - it easily follows why that is an utter waste of time. (PS AFGM - I'm incredibly interested in hearing your thoughts/gossip on how Tippetts situation effected our 2010/2011 campaigns...)

On this Tippett matter - we were getting the inside vibes from the club before things were unfolding. The only thing really unproven at this point was whether he had indeed negotiated something with GC end of last year. Now, how I read that was there was a shit load of doubt about Tips resigning; some inside the club felt he was going to shaft us - and some in the club floated the thought re: the loop hole etc. I'm still backing him in there may have been 'something' going on with GC end of last year - it may yet come out.

FYI - I'm still leaving it open for AGFM to have a tight connection to Craigy as defending him so vigorously and now wanting to dump on those who sacked him do make sense ;)

He reminds me, at times, of Crow-mo - and god knows we all miss him ;) (there - I think this thread has covered everything now hasn't it?)

I'm criticising the club because we are in a ****ing mess mate.

I actually believe Chapman meant what he said - at the time.

So you believe we WILL hear the full story? Happy to revisit this conversation when it goes down one way or the other. All signals point to that not being the case IMO. Has chappy reiterated lately we will get all the info when all is said and done?

My gut feel is we'll be told we now can't know the full story, for the benefit of the club and the AFL. Heck they may even blame the AFL for putting a muzzle on them. Still a ****ing disgrace.
