"KURT Tippett has revealed it was the bout of concussions which sidelined him for four games towards the end of last season which prompted him to evaluate his life and led to his decision to join Sydney."

Just waiting for your retraction/apology Vader...

To be fair that (June 13) story was the first anyone had heard of that reason for leaving.

Can't wait for the Tippett "Profiles" doco. Might need to put chicken wire in front of the telly and empty the swear jar.

at this point Bock hasn't really hurt us and he has been injured most of the time since leaving. When playing however some of his output has been top shelf.
Ditto for Davis. Quite underwhelming so far. His lack of pace and strength may mean he never really develops into an elite KPD. Will get better as GWS improve though.
$Kurt will/is hurting though. I can imagine a lot of us are just waiting for him to have an umpired assisted huge September, quite possibly winning the flag. The pr***
You never wish an ACL on anyone, but he is one person that comes to mind, along with the guy that wrecked Trents knee from the Power.

Prompted him to evaluate his life is one thing. It's a very different thing to what you were saying about the concussions making him decide to leave.

Im not mad at Tippett for wanting to chase more money, that's his right. I am pissed off with Sydney for not offering a fair trade for him and acting like total silly$ to try and get him as cheaply as possible. I am angry at the club for putting us in a situation where we could be held over a barrel and reamed by the AFL for what they did. The tie up between Bloucher and Ireland was dodgy at best and the AFL did everything it could to make sure Sydney could get Tippett. Sydney new Tippett had an illegal contract and tried to exploit it to get him there. His manager knew and so did Kurt and they tried to use it to get him to Sydney. Sydney should have been treated like Collingwood was with Chalmers but the AFL wanted to see him in NSW to promote the brand. Simple.
I hate Trigg/Chapman and Sydney more than I hate the big **** Kurt.

And Reid, don't forget little Johnny....

Just thinking the same thing, Deaneus! And who's been teaching him goal kicking? He's a dead-eye dick at the moment.

Watching Sydney vs Collingwood. Tippett looks much more confident in his set shot at goal too especially playing in his natural FF position. Has kicked successfully from 30m out twice from set shots. But it takes a team effort to win premierships and they have a big test of their premiership favoritism next month. Still think Geelong or Hawthorn are big tests for them.

Proof that Kurt did not try his hardest at times in Adelaide and was frustrated playing here, of course he had some good games and he kicked 7 goals once. And I think that 2009 semi final and preliminary final last year, 5 point losses may have turned him away from the club to make him go to a more successful club of recent times. He may have still been here if we had better luck last year.

Tippett continually got scragged by defenders with us and never got a free, now that he's at the AFL's favourite team, he gets two in the first five minutes. Coincidence much?

Was it Shaw who worked him out and showed us how worried Tippet is with a man coming in from the side at pace? He's gonna get smashed in the Finals stepping back like that .I don't think he'll stay on that list if he is as big as a squib as he's appearing.

He did have 11 weeks off to be able to practice

An AFL footballer is normally limited to a "set" amount of set shots they can do during the week thanks to the sports science gurus who don't want to "overwork" them at training

11 weeks of no games meant he could spend a lot more time practicing

He's 3.2 how. Honestly don't think he's any better than when he was with the Crows. He has his strengths (and at some of them he's among the best in the league) that make him a very good player to have in your side, but has his obvious deficiencies as well. He doesn't have to worry about being 2nd ruck with Sydney playing Mumford and Pyke, so I'm sure that helps him a bit too.

So where the **** was this form last year from Tippo? And since when did he start kicking this straight?!

yep all those who said we wouldn't miss Tippett are kidding themselves. Even though he is still a shit kick, being one of our mids you be more confident in moving the ball forward to tippett as you know he will always create more of a contest than anyone we have up there on our list

Forwards are dependent on other players and the system that has been put in place, as much as they are on their own ability.

His kicking hasn't changed. It wasn't a problem with us, it isn't now.

Walker accuracy 61.7%, Tippett accuracy 58.2%.

So out of every 30 shots at goal, Walker kicks one more (roughly).

Maybe the Crows should have benched him for 3/4 of a season and told him to do nothing but practice his goal kicking. I actually traded him in in my SC team this week for Franklin (can't be biased in SC!), so I'm kinda happy with the result so far.

His routine has changed, it's quite noticeable. He's also now kicking at 64% (at Sydney).

**** off Trigg.

That's what we need and miss.

Right there.
$kurt left as he didn't rate Adelaide as a city and he wasn't happy with the over-bearing 'fish-bowl' environment. Unfortunately these aspects have, and will continue to act, as structural and competitive disadvantages for the club.

Can we at least leave the repetitive Trigg bashing to the relevant point of him not adequately dealing with the flawed contract, and not start making up other stuff

His kicking action is identical.

His conversion was below 58 then he kicked 6.0 straight last week versus Melbourne.

The changes are minor, if anything.

The only thing that is different are the people who were dumb enough to underrate him when he was here are seeing what he actually looks like now that he is playing for an opposition club.

Tippett was right. He's had **** all media coverage since he's been in Sydney, despite being banned for half a season. Adelaide would suck in that respect if you didn't like media scrutiny.
