There was a bit of player when Tippo slid for the ball and I have to admit I was hoping he hurt himself.

You know what it's funny but I tried to be ok with the SKIRT TIPPET saga but when I watched the Hawthorn Sydney game and I wanted Hawthorn to absolutely Rape Sydney (and they did) I realized I really need to deal with my anger issues!
I think Sydney lost a lot of goodwill with neutral supporters over that one.

'We want to recruit a player who we will make the highest paid player at our club, but wont trade any of our first 22 players, or any of our young talent, or do anything to improve our pick 22 and even though we know nothing about a secret trade clause in Tippetts contract we want to preserve our good guy greg status at the trading table so let me introduce Jesse White, who's contract we dont want on our books so can you take him for us?' - Scumbag Sydney

Ah - if you want to spend some quality time browsing - pop over to the Swans board and check out a new thread questioning if Tippett is to blame for their poor forward entries - love it :p

His head is the size of the entire forward line.

Not to sound like I'm defending Tippett, but he'd shown what type of player be was with the Crows. If Sydney and their fans were expecting different then they were either dreaming or had never watched him play.

I've heard that in the media this week too. Swans are 1 dimensional

He's not to blame, he is what he's always been

That they have not quite recognised the pros & cons of Kurt is not exactly his fault.

He's a very good but limited (flawed) power forward.

the thing is, he is. But it isn't really his fault. He is an elite contested mark and takes quite a few.

I heard a swans player on the radio saying how it is hard to think of the Swans without Tippett and they always look for him because he takes a great contested grab

that's when I realised we had migrated our problem to another team.

Quite agree with you (and other posters) that its not actually his fault - I was just repeating what the swans board was asking

Some of us dealt with last years crap by thinking that Tippet going to Sydney would erode the culture of that clubs playing group. We heard for years about that culture and us adl supporters looked at Tippett being incapable of molding to it, being a cancer. (all things considered)

Things are looking good...

How's that work?

They seemed to do just fine elsewhere on the field before Tippett arrived. Being unpredictable going forward was one of their strengths.

Will say this, having read the sydney thread just now;

Their supporters are an odd lot, they are facing the same issues adelaide did for years but somehow think their perspective is unique and no one else could understand

They are even saying the same things about him dropping back deep so defenders can collapse on him, and talking about his inability to time or repeat lead

I'd feel sorry for them... But I just don't want to. :D
