Yes that's true, in that case it is their problem. But if he is being continually outnumbered and the long bomb is not working, the Tippett must work to provide alternative options - that's when it becomes his problem and that's what is currently concerning them.

If he is being continually outnumbered while sitting deep, it's in the best interests of the team for him to just stay there and let his (presumably unmanned) teammates receive the ball on the lead.

If Tippett is long and with only one defender, then they should kick it to him. And with a decent kick he'll mark it every time.

He had a prior injury coming in, just below the knee. He got a knock on it at the start of the game and as there is a nerve right in that spot it is hurting him a lot. They can't give him an injection, apparently as he would lose feeling in his foot. So they subbed him out.
