I had to laugh at another huge error of judgement by the Advertiser today.
They chuck a beat-up on the Crows saying they could win the Granny on the back page, and bury the all-important Prelim Final update about six pages in.
I haven't got the Tiser in front of me (used it when I went to the loo), but the headline said something like "Crows believe they can win the Grand Final". Now, I read the entire article and didn't find a single quote where a player said they thought they could win the Grand Final. Sure, they said there was a lot of belief within the club and that they were preparing for the finals. But that was it. I think that's what they call a beat-up.
I guess that's what happens when you've got some Kiwi sheila who knows sweet fa about footy as sports editor.
