Funnily enough, the GWS board has a thread, "Protected Victorians", complaining about Bont's non-suspension after fracturing a GWS larynx. Old mate should head over there and make some gratuitous reference to a Coventry/McHale/Collier.I bet you're wondering what I'm saying in this post too?

All there on camera... and no fleeting thing -- goes on and on and on.
100% agree, so will you go halves in the buying the slab I lost in my bet?All the video I've seen doesn't actually show the contact to the eyes and requires people to draw conclusions. I don't doubt that was what he did or that that was his intent, but the video is inconclusive. I still expected at least a week's holiday. Another for smashing his head into the ground with a hand full of hair.

I must have heard half a dozen commentators speak about how Toby's teammates love him.... but i've never actually heard a team mate say it.
Your position is that the video doesn’t prove that he eye-gouged him, therefore it proves that he didn’t eye-gouge him. Good luck with that in a courtroom.
Brisbane and Sydney are Rugby league fortresses - the Swans were the first expansion club formed and they are STILL getting hand outs yet the league sees fit to waste our resources on a second team that will be on the drip forever.Greene tried to rip out the hair of an opposition player who was pinned. He's a serial offender with bad character and no remorse because he keeps offending.
I have no doubt he was treated leniently because he's with the Giants, and the AFL intends to gift them a flag.
It happened with Sydney, although I think Brisbane succeeded by cleverly exploiting the massive handouts to the Swans (Brisbane got far less for more flags) and just being a well run club (once the League gave up on them and left them alone).
The Crows and Eagles were well enough set up that they succeeded under their own steam, but the current AFL administration is so inept they couldn't found successful clubs in West Sydney or GC.
Can’t agree. GWS is the correct market to have expanded to - but you need to wait a generation to see the fruits of your labour.Brisbane and Sydney are Rugby league fortresses - the Swans were the first expansion club formed and they are STILL getting hand outs yet the league sees fit to waste our resources on a second team that will be on the drip forever.
No. If it was in a courtroom it would be because there was an accusation, as there should have been in this case. The process would actually test the evidence.Err... In a courtroom it would be something like... There is no accusation of eye gouging, the video evidence shows no eye gouging, a medical practioner and both players confirm there was no eye gouging... Case closed
Hopefully you can steer me to the direct quote whereby Bontempelli says he wasn’t eye gouged.Err... In a courtroom it would be something like... Clearly should have been.

This is a fairly unequivocal declaration of love from his captain,
"From our point of view, he's a terrific teammate, he's much loved, he's loyal - he's everything you want in a friend and a teammate."

No apologies: Giants skipper Davis defends Greene from 'hysteria'
GWS co-captain Phil Davis has lauded Toby Greene for the way he has handled the 'hysteria' surrounding his latest AFL tribunal visit.www.theage.com.au
You said this: “... both players confirm there was no eye gouging.” Show me?Can you steer me to the direct quote where he says he was? Because that's what you need to be accused... Not media speculation about something that "might" have happened.
What happens before something gets to a hearing is that "an accuser" reviewed the "evidence" and decided it was insufficient.No. If it was in a courtroom it would be because there was an accusation, as there should have been in this case. The process would actually test the evidence.
My research was reading today's newspaper. Would you settle for a former teammate saying "I love him"?ok. So the captain says it. Fair enough. Nice research work. I'm glad that you're paying attention. Well I would still rate him a 9.5 on the Nathan Buckley FIGJAM meter and Bucks never even rated that high on his own meter......
p.s. note "he's much loved" .......heresay evidence....i'm still waiting on " i love the guy"
