Summer Tokyo 2021 - Swimming

It was kind of a choke, considering the Aussies were finishing the last 25 quickest in previous races. Why did that change in the relay?

Barty wasn't a choke jeez, people expect her to win all the time. That was a tough matchup.
People forget Barty went from playing the clay court season, got injured, was touch and go for Wimbledon, wins that and a few days later is playing on the hard courts in Tokyo with no match preparation on the surface. And her opponent basically did not miss a shot in the final set. But lots of people love to throw out the choke tag.

Thorpey knew what was up saying the order was off. You had to close with Titmus.

I don't blame the swimmers who swam that final.

I blame the selections of the swimmers we chose. Just pick the 4 fastest swimmers and don't try and be cute. This is the Olympics ffs.
Best for the occassion not 2 who did well weeks ago and not days ago.
Gigantic stuff up.

I actually was thrilled Barty lost early (in those conditions against that opponent) as I’m more into doubles at the Olympics and it released her to focus there instead with Storm and now Peers

Getting shocked at Olympics tennis is a noob move. Historically full of upsets and if you don’t know that then quiet down

Who came 4th at the trials?

Titmus swam 1.01 seconds slower than in the indivdual 200m.And Titmus did have someone to chase - she was behind the Chinese girl the whole way.

Ledecky (despite swimming a 1500 in between) swam 1.45 faster.

Wislon swam .78 faster.

If Titmus swam her 200 individual time, we win.

There used to be a thread about how bigfooty is a haven't for racist trolls. Pretty sure words like sh*t are censored, but abo isn't.

Edit: it appears im correct. Thats all you need to know.
In fairness, censoring that would mean that common words like about and above would be changed, which wouldn't work.

Standing starts above, but Ledecky's reaction time and the other 2 anchors was slow and didn't want to break so its comparable
