I've been told by someone that did a couple of games as trainer at Sandi games, that Tom Lynch is a gun and had he been at any other club he would have been playing in the seniors by now.

That's great to know, except he's not with any other club making the only poignant thing that yes, the kid is a gun. And wow I make myself feel old calling him a kid, look out Tunga you whippersnapper!:D

Need to be realistic. This was a good debut season from Lynch who played 18 VFL games for 27 goals and six times in the best players.

First 6 games - 6 goals, 0 times in best players.

Next 7 games - 15 goals, 5 times in best (3 times BOG).

Next 5 games - 6 goals, once in best.

Slow start, then good form which correlated with some excellent performances by the Saints, then a bit of a flat spot as can be the case with first year players.

Having watched a few games now, he still needs to work on his marking and tackling. But will be a good player at AFL given time and a reasonable run with injuries.

i thought he was recruited from sandi

Dragons (U/18).

Was in the same team as Jack Watts (evidently they are good mates). Saw Watts watching at one of the games.

I know him personally (family friend) & he is very excited about his form on the field as well as the seniors, was a huge Saints fan before he was recruited :D

Yeah I've heard similar things as well..

Don't know if he'd get a game at everyone but St.Kilda, but definitely most teams.

looks like he'll be a terrific player:thumbsu:

Any reason he didn't play the week in Tassie when you had about 7-8 'injuries'? Also has he filled out at all, even in late pre-season he still looked pretty raw.

McEvoy came in for Riewoldt - he played quite well as a forward, and encouraged some longer kicking which brought Milne & Schneider into the game.

Pretty hard to hit the weights once the season has started. His game revolves around his mobility, so needs to be wary of putting weight on (should naturally get stronger with time).

Would love to see Lynchy line up in round 1 next season and play most of the 2010 season.

Hes a missing link down forward.
