Never really liked Tomic, but he has really impressed me tonight.:thumbsu: Has really taken it up to Rafa, and shown he could quite easily push the top 10 a couple of years down the track.

To be fair, I thought the same thing too, and I was wrong.

Competed very well.
 
He won about the amount of games I thought he would, never thought he'd get embarrassed. Shame he couldn't convert and take the second set off him, but Rafa was always going to lift. Tomic should be proud of his efforts tonight and through the first two rounds.

He gets pretty badly ragged on for some reason, but the kid can seriously play. Just needs to get stronger and play more.

Couldn't have said it better. Really don't understand all the anti tomic stuff. Seems like a decent kid...his old man is probably a bit nuts, but he doesn't have a choice in that.

I watched the game and thought he played well, he should be happy with his efforts.

He's already tactically better than half the mugs on tour. He was actually agressive, especially in that second set. Stepping into the court and giving Nadal less time to set up is literally the only way you can beat him because he will NEVER beat himself.
 
Ended up putting in a much better show than Stosur when you consider everything. Definitely a good effort, I really hope he gets to the top one day, we're way too starved of success these days.
