He is not going to be a great player, his game is ordinary.
Serve is average, forehand is a slapper & movement is slow, plus his dad will anchor him down.

He simply didn't run yesterday. The amount of rallies and service returns he gave up on was disgusting. I doubt he even ran 1 kilometer throughout the whole match.

What annoyed me was that three promising players were excluded from the wildcard playoffs because of behaviour. If money was spent on Klein and co to improve their temperament, it would be a better use of limited resources than throwing dollars at Tomic.

Since Brisbane, Tomic has won three consecutive staight se matches against top 100 players to qualify for the Sydney main draw. Top effort!

The 3 wins over top 100 players was impressive. If he can get more results like that, more people will be on his side. Dolgopolov is someone he could beat. And you would expect him to get an AO WC now.
There aren't too many people denying his talent. Tennis is an extremely competitive sport though. He needs to have the hunger to succeed.

Far out I see a lot of hate for this guy. He is an 18 y.o kid!! Give him a break guys. I'm sure if he played for your Footy team you would love him even if he spoke the way he does.
this year he can't just take half of the year off without an injury and just expect an automatic wild card into next years aus open. he has to play a lot more challenger tournaments and improve his game in those tournaments
