Looks like Too Human will be to the 360 as Haze was to the PS3....an absolute letdown.

Some reviews as low as 5/10.

I haven't really followed the progress of this game TBH, all I know is it's been in production for about 10 years.

I d/l'd the demo from the marketplace and quite surprisingly thought it wasn't too bad. Not something I'd rush out and buy at launch, but something I'd consider picking up down the track.

I'm glad it's not turn based combat, that style of game just does nothing for me.

Metacritic are rating it at a 67 ATM, so it's got a while to go to reach Haze's 55, but only a handful of reviews have come in so it could dip that low.

I think the problem with a lot of games like Too Human and Haze is that they get so hyped people expect them to be flawless, but this is rarely the case.

Anyway, I'm not overly enthused about the game, but thought it was ok. Then again, I thought the HAZE demo was ok as well

I would reserve judgment till more ppl have played the game......

if you know anything about the history of this game and its meglomaniacal designer Denis Dyack........ lets just say that he has pissed off alot of Game Journalists and hardcore gamers........ so its hard to say much about the quality of the game in the fog of irrational hatred.

Karl wins.

he sure did....lol

pity really...the game seemed to show so much potential...but i hate the sound of the dual controller scheme for combat....
if they had've followed the x-men legends formula for combat a lil more it could've made a big difference i think

That's quite true.

1UP have so far given the lowest score of 42/100. 1UP is part of EGM who blasted the game after the E3 06 showing of Too Human. Dyack then slammed EGM. Seems like there is still a bit of tension there.

Do all these gamers shop at Dorky Baseball Caps & ******* Cargo Pants 'R' Us? It's amazing how they all look the same after a while.

As for the game, looks underwhelming.

Currently sitting at between 68 and and 70 on the usual game review sites (Metacritic, Game Rankings, GameStats).

Whilst probably below expectation after the supposed 10 years of development and hype, is somewhat respectible and an indication it doesn't necessarily "suck"

Probably a fair few reviews to come in still also.

Have heard ok things from people with the game.

it's probably still worth the buy anywayz

especially since it's touted to be a triliogy??

no doubt they will improve upon the parts they stuffed up on and will churn out an amazing game...and at least then you're up to date with the story

wow, August npd figures are in and its official

Too Human is a bomb of massive proportions.

yes, it was madden month...........but with the extremely frontloaded sales of the x360 and the four year development cycle.... rumours of one million presale figures....

to only manage half of mario kart wii and get only 168 000....

looks like Dennis Dyack should have kept his mouth shut.......

the game will struggle to get 500 000 worldwide sales at this rate.

I don't know who is footing the bill for development costs.....but if rumours of an 80 million dollar budget is true.....

this could overtake Shenmue as the biggest bomb of all time.

$80 million  from everything I've seen of it you'd be lucky to find a tenth of it in the game :(

and at least shenmue was good...

Well, the 360 is basically dead on its feet already, hardly a surprise that one of its biggest exclusives is cactus as a result.

Quite clearly the PS3 is winning the next-gen war.

did I say that?

you did say that

"Well, the 360 is basically dead on its feet already, hardly a surprise that one of its biggest exclusives is cactus as a result

you said the 360 is dead on its feet, and the exclusive title is cactus as a result of that

Maybe I should explain it better.

I was just saying, a lot of shit games have sold well on 360, as a result of a lack of competition. Too Human has failed because 360 owners are quickly becoming sick of sub-standard games, and they aren't buying this BS.

that makes better sense.

:thumbsu:

uhm.....

I did say it was madden month.......

the x360 version of madden outsold the PS3 version by like 400 000 copies.....

and wii version by like 1 million :P

say what you will about x360 fanboys......... they buy a shitload of games. Thats why Too Human sales are so shocking........the negative hype killed it dead on the spot. By all reports, the game wasn't anything special but it wasn't Aquaman either...... if Dennis Dyack hadn' pissed off the hardcore .....it probably would have grinded out a million seller.

I think its pretty clear though that 360 hardware momentum is stagnating and it is yet to see whether the pricedrop has had much effect. PS3 isn't really doing much better either. Little Big Planet month is going to be a monster.

How do you come to any of these conclusions?

360 is outselling the PS3 in the US again, and the PS3 still has no games.

Any developers volunteered to patch in trophies for games yet? Uncharted? Yeah, not like anyone would play that again anyway though.

Console success or failure, really has nothing to do with why this game has done so poorly.

Its just a massive **** of a game basically.

You keep saying that about Unchartered. I wouldn't play it again for Trophies (achievements / trophies I have ZERO interest in), but I would play it again because it's a damn good game.

On a massive **** of a console basically :p.

Aaah, no

Uncharted is a great game.....no doubting that.

Played through most of it for the 4th time over the weekend, still awesome.
