Too much Korn

From too little content last year, the broadcasters have gone the other way and have given us too much this year and Korn is symbolic of that. Neither can get that balance right.

I dont know, maybe I see him in a way that the majority here don't see him. I just feel he has read the book "Basic Human Headline 101" by Derryn Hinch. Say it, doesn't matter if you don't believe it, just grab that headline

I think last year he admitted that he makes controversial statements for ratings and clicks?

I think last year he admitted that he makes controversial statements for ratings and clicks?

That's his job, I think 80% he is probably right or raising a good point but people take the opinion too far.

The Nick Daicos comment was a good example. He said multiple times that he is the best player in the competition but wasn't ready for opening round. Supporters just hear the end part and think that he doesn't rate Daicos.

Crows supporters are the same with Tex. They hear what they want to hear.

When Corny.K said Tex was "No longer best 22" did he mean in the league??
Kicked 4.2 and was in the Top 10 on the ground.
Maybe pop your personal vendetta in your pocket & let a great of the comp ply his trade.

He can't. His endless barrage of reheated and repurposed hot takes are dripping in personal vendettas and grudges (see his passive aggressiveness towards Luke Beveridge and the Dogs - we get it Korn...)

He does strangely seem to have it in for your mob.. might still be the Minson thing.
I always think back to an interview where he admitted his wife got him through high school, essentially taking his exams for him.
He was recruited because of his Dad, survived on field because of his Brother & is now Fn.Everywere because of Hutchy.
He's done it the easy way & still takes the shortest route to a headline.
He does provide opinion & that's exactly what it is.
But when it's so targeted & it's everywhere...it quickly starts to lose credibility
*If it wasn't for Kingy, I'd throw the Corn out COMPLETELY!

Far from me to defend Cornes but to be fair he said Tex would still kick goals each week.

He has said multiple times it is the sum of all parts not the inderviduals and no one is dropping the other two key forwards.

To be fair both Jonathon Brown and Garry Lyon said they wouldn't play all three in a final and its probably Tex who misses if all available. They are bassically saying the same thing but no outrage.

I do agree though he needs to stop with the same opinions each week. There are about 10 hot takes he won't let go of.

Fair enough. That's what you took from the statement. I took that He's no longer best 22.
You only need to watch our games to see how valuable he is on field.. weve heard it a million times but he's "like another coach out there"
The Crows have Jack Hombsche & Tex
and Port (until recently & if possible, would probably still) have Chad Cornes & Charlie Dixon, I know which one I prefer.
I know what your saying about the sum of the parts but the sum isn't now.
It's March so we're all about parts. And I reckon he's a fairly important one (in Club & Comp) leading into Round 4.

Never thought I’d say this, but Kane’s been the best part of Ch7’s coverage this year so far

The usual suspects bad as always - BT, Hame, Selwood, Jase Richardson, even Roo’s gotten under my skin - but Kane’s basically held up Agenda Setters by himself (I guess with a bit of help from Caro and Hodge). I like his expert commentary, too

They should swap the Thursday callers (BT/Hame) with with the Friday callers (JB/Nicho) - JB/Nicho/Kane/Hodge would be way ahead of Fox’s Thursday group

Corn dreaming of a Lebron style bust up with Clarko/North players. This guy is so transparent. Will eat dog-sh*t for another listener, get on another show, plant more corn.

I've regularly defended Cornes over recent years as he's at least comfortable with having an opinion and debating it. Many times over the years he's had an unpopular point of view and it's been something I've agreed with, or at least respected his position.

As someone who doesn't watch much of the mid-week shows and tends to watch games with the sound off, there's been a couple of incidents that have been red flags for me with the whole Kane Cornes, media superstar thing.

1. The weird feud with Tom Sheridan. Sheridan was clearly JOKING with some pretty obvious bait of Cornes who proceeded to be pulled in hook, line and sinker, pulling out his games played card in a five minute rant to show how much he definitely does not care about what Sheridan thinks. Cornes was clearly a fantastic player, up there with Port's most decorated players of its 30-odd years in the league. When he starts pulling out his premiership and B&Fs in an argument, it indicates to me that he's losing.

2. The feud with North Melbourne. Simply, I don't believe he'd be attacking North Melbourne if the byplay had happened in a game against any club other than Port Adelaide. If anything, he'd have liked the spunk that North was showing.

Is he becoming a one-eyed glassjaw? Because it doesn't sound like that would be much fun.
